KNA VV-Wi Wireless Violin Viola Pickup (Updated) – UHF Piezo System with Volume Control, 50m Range, Ultra-Low Latency, Easy Install, Professional Sound for String Instruments

I use this pickup with my violin, and it works like a charm. My initial impression was to give this 4 stars because there were some minor glitches with installing it on my instrument, but the quality of sound more than makes up for it.The battery life lasts about as advertised - around 5-6 hours per charge for the transmitter and receiver each. Higher volume and bass settings both drain the battery a bit faster, so with those settings active, I get around 4.5-5 hours per charge. Because I only use it for personal music playing at home, this is not really an issue.Installing the pickup took a tiny bit of work. I had to spend a bit of time adjusting my bridge to fit the pickup. The barrels on the receiver also arrived tightened, and required a pair of pliers to loosen, but otherwise, it was pretty straightforward to install. The instructions say to install it on the E string side, but I've found a richer pickup quality installing it on the G string side. YMMV. It also matches the shade of my chin rest closely enough, so that's a good bonus.Would have been nice if the set came with a pouch for the charging cable, receiver and the barrel key, but not a dealbreaker.Overall, 5/5 for quality of sound, battery life and form factor.

Keeps sound original and clear

What I dont like1 it doesn’t work2 This was a gift bought a while back so I can’t return it3 the manual with it says on the parts diagram that the + button is for channel and - button for pairing. Then in the use instructions it says to push the - button to change channels and + and hold to pair.4 it claims holding the button for pairing will result in rapid flashing after which you turn on the receiver. This rapid flashing never happens, no matter what button you push and hold for 5 secondsDo not buy this for yourself or a friend or a family member.I had great hopes for this pickup system. All in all a VERY disappointing waste of a lot of money.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to install, works perfectly, incredible sound through a guitar processor and a 1000 watt modeling amp!

Did not receive the piezzo sensor cable. Don’t know if these packages have been opened for the cable to be missing, need to return and order new one.

I purchased this to replace a Barcus Berry 3100 Piezo Violin/Viola Pickup due to it horribly muting my violin and poor sound quality. The KNA VV-Wi was very easy to setup and connects quickly. The sound quality is excellent and it does not mute the violin like other pickups. I used it for the first time in church music practice paired with a SB-4 PIEZO active DI, they worked well together. I had no issues with the wireless connection, no sound delays or electrical interference. The piezo sensor is detachable, major plus, when I'm not using the pickup it just unplug it. I play an acoustic fiddle with a small group of old time musicians and at times the players would tell me they couldn't hear me. So, after seeing this KNA violin pickup advertised on Youtube, I decided to try it. Wow! What a difference it made. The violin now has such a full sound and can be heard by all. I have gotten several comments from the crowds that my violin now fills the room, without being overpowering! The receiver which attaches to the side of the violin is slimline and not intrusvie to the musician. As someone who isn't very techie, the instructions for setting up the pickup were very easy to understand. I do recommend this product.

Very good sound!!I have been playing VV-Wi for about two weeks now and really happy with it. It has a realistic sound for a pickup, especially wireless compared to the pickups I have used in the past.My bridge required just a light widening, which I made at home.Definitely recommending it.
