Just what I needed
This antenna comes with a plastic bracket for surface mounting which is what you see done in my picture. I needed no other hardware. Setup was not difficult. It does need power. But it does not need to be wired to the router. You can set it up as a wireless repeater which is what I did. The instructions are consise but covers setting it up as wired and as repeater.

Works good
Works pretty good to get wifi in my garage and to the shed.

Not water proof
Purchased in August 2022. 4 months later, after the return period, it quits putting out a signal. Upon removal of the of booster from it's perch I unscrew the bottom and water pours out. All terminals were corroded past cleaning... to the scrap pile .... But it worked great the 4 months prior.

Good signal strength!
We bought this extender to send our wifi signal to our garage as we were not getting good signal from the house. It is a detached metal garage that is maybe 100 feet from the house. We set up the extender on our back porch pointing towards the garage. The signal is amazing. Our family can pick up signal from it two houses away! It throws two signals that you can choose from. We use the one with the better signal strength. Easy to set up as well. Would recommend!

Don't buy this product
To say I'm dissappointed is an understatement.I can not get a strong signal from 50'.I thought I was doing something wrong, a friend who is a computer engineer came over to the house.He could not get the signal to extend. I wish I had him come over earlier to let me know this equipment is not good. Now I can't even return it.Maybe this peice of equipment is a lemon...This is very sad.

Works Awesome
Couldn't ask for a better extender here at work. Haven't dropped internet or a teams call since I've gotten this. Put it outside a shipping container near office and I'm in another one and it works perfectly.

Signal range
Very impressed with the range of signal only wish i didn't have to reset it every other week ory works everytime just little annoying i do recommend it

Works very well
The antenna is fairly easy to set up, and has options to be a WIFI repeater, or LAN to WIFI. I set it up to be LAN to WIFI, and the output signal is strong. It has a second LAN port not explained in the instructions, but I was able to plug a network cable into it to hard wire another device. I don't know if this would work if it was set up as a repeater.
