Cheap and simple
These are really robust, and the rubber feet makes them non slip on all our surfaces.Actually bought to stop small bread boards collapsing down our work surface, as we have a selection of sizes that we use regularly. Does an absolutely wonderful job due to their size.

Flexible bookends - interesting!
Poor! Can't understand the good reviews here... these bend right over when anything like a few books are placed against them. Also, no 'flat' part on opposite side to counteract the lean like other bookends we have. Completely useless unless just a few light books are used. Be warned. Daughter loves the colour tho...
