Perfect drive for Ipod Classic
I bought this drive to upgrade my old iPod Classic.I am very happy because it fits and works perfectly with no modifications or adapters required which is what I wanted. The price is right too. It costs about the same compared to buying and SD card adapter along with SD card.I noticed that it loads music faster compared to the original hard drive. I also like that I have more than double the original space which was only 30GB.Important note: If using in an iPod make sure you have the proper opening tools as disassembly can be difficult because iPod is very delicate. After that it is plug and play, when you plug it into the computer iTunes will detect that the iPod will need to be formatted. Once it restores the software it will work normal.

Good for my uses
I haven't benchmarked it or anything since I doubt I could give accurate results in the crappy UMPC I installed it in, but here's my experience with it after one day:I installed it in my HTC Shift, restored an image of windows 8 to it, and now my shift is running 100x faster. That old stock HDD was really a terrible, terrible bottleneck (and only ~32GB!). I'll update my review if this SSD fails on me any time soon. All I wanted out of this was for it to be a bit faster than the stock HDD (it's a lot faster!), no moving parts, and more space. I am very satisfied thus far.A note for HTC Shift owners, Windows 8 uses significantly less RAM than 7. If you're looking to increase performance on the shift, buying that overpriced 2GB RAM module is COMPLETELY unnecessary. I have 8 Pro running on it, and with the stock 1GB of ram, only 50% is in use after boot, and I've never seen it go higher than 70%. If you put 8 on it (and honestly, you should because 8 runs faster than 7, is more touch friendly, lighter on RAM and CPU usage, better in just about every way, etc), adding another GB of RAM is not going to increase your performance at all. It will literally do NOTHING. You're constrained by the 800MHz processor and the slow HDD- even with this SSD, anything that might possibly use the extra GB of RAM is going to run like s*** with or without it. Better to just rely on the SSD and pagefile.

Upgrade Sony HDR drive
Works great to upgrade Sony HDR-SR1 hard drive. Max video settings now get over 1000 minutes record time.

Worked fine for 3 months. Now dead ! UPDATE: KingSpec REPLACED !
This was installed in a 120Gb ZUNE player & worked great for 3 months. Just enough to get past the return time. Now it's dead. I'm trying to find another brand as this certainly did not last. Quality control must not be awake. Learned a $80.00 lesson. Not even going to ask about a replacement.UPDATE 9-5-2022: KingSpec read my review of my defective SSD & REPLACED IT under their Guarantee without a complaint from me. VERY NICE company to deal with. This is about my 4th 128 Gb SSD drive in my ZUNE players with usually no problems at all. Except this one & It is now fixed. I do recommend these SSD's as they are very reliable normally. THANKS KINGSPEC !

Failed after 3 years
Worked fine in a HP 2510p as a boot SSD on Windows 7. Failed after 3 years when the warranty ran out - hence not a suitable, reliable replacement for a slim HDD. Would not trust the brand. Others reported the same. Worried about the other SSD I purchased at the same time. Terribly annoyed to have to reconfigure a new SSD.

Nice Drive - FAST - great netbook upgrade
Felt like a DIY project and decided to attempt to upgrade my HP MINI 1000 netbook and replace it's crappy and slow 16 GB SSD drive with this drive. I wasn't for certain it would work, but after some googling decided to give it a try. Once I got the ZIF cable going the right way, this drive made a HUGE HUGE difference in the speed of the mini. Windows 7 rated it a 5.9 making it the fastest thing rated in the netbook. I am very pleased with the performance of this drive. The unit shipped USPS and required a signiture which caused a bunch of commotion because the post office tried to deliver it to the wrong house and I had to go pick it up because of the post office mistate --> I took off one star because it should have been shipped fedex or ups!! Also there are zippo instructions in the box - just a warranty card, the drive and the ZIF Flex. I had to do some guessing as to which way to put the flex in - got it right on the third try. Overall very nice and fast unit and worked great in the HP MINI 1000. FAST and no more worries about running out of space on the netbook. AMAZON if you are lisiting, stop sending things USPS --> I hate it when you do that! :)

Great replacement/upgrade for your ZUNE 30GB Media Player
If you are a ZUNE Enthusiast and still use your Zune player, then this 128GB SSD Ziff drive is a great replacement or upgrade SSD to your ZUNE. It's not too difficult to replace the existing drive if you follow the instructions that can be found online at different Web Sites. The You Tube videos are the best in showing how to do the drive replacement. I have done several of these for family and friends with good results. So far, the Ziff drives seem to hold up and definitely draws a lot less on the battery which is a plus. Only time will tell on the durability aspect of the upgrade. Then again, there aren't too many choices out there if you are looking for an SSD for your Zune. So far, I am satisfied.
