Works very well and cuts accurate miters
The blade speed seems a bit slow, but it cuts very accurately. The first thing I did was to weld a half inch rod to the removable stop so I could cut legs for a stand longer than eight inches. The factory blade didn't last long, so buy a couple of extra blades. The trigger switch should be a toggle instead of a momentary switch. I use a small pony clamp to squeeze the trigger until I decide on a permanent fix.

looked good but finally looks good
Ordered a replacement. Amazon makes it really easy! I’ll update with the new saw.*****Update 2 : real nice saw finally. Had received a dud. Works really nice, no more noise on the second unit, cuts straight with some fiddling, at 90 and 60*. You have to get a good blade though, if not, that bandsaw is breaking blade like crazy. A starett blade sold on amazon is the best so far, really sturdy, and dulls before breaking. Overall, really satisfied, nice bandsaw that pivot, not the vise, which is great, and with minor mod, can turn this bandsaw from horizontal to vertical. No more update if it last long enough! Cheers***** Update 1 : was doing some weird noise, but what do I know, its supposed to be new! Made 5-6 cuts with it, the speed adjustment did stop working and then everything failed after a spark and some smoke. I believe it's the motor controller that went, according to the exploded view of the manual and the smell of freshly burnt control board/electronics.*****Looks well built, cuts pretty square (1/32 for 1.5” of cut) some weird noise but everything is solid. Will update for durability

Cheaply built saw
After 6 weeks of use everything started coming loose. Soft metal components resulted in inaccurate cuts and aggravation. Had to purchase new bolts for the guide lock because of cheap hardware. Don’t buy this saw.Update a few days later......this saw isn't that bad....it was just the aggravation of wanting to use it after a few weeks and spending hours trying to repair/redesign things....The saw is now cutting straight and seems to be working fine. I Will say.... Amazon was really nice about allowing me to return this item after the return window had closed by nearly 4 weeks. We were going to replace the saw with a $595.00 Baileigh but decided to keep the WEN. AFTER close inspection of the Baileigh its pretty much the same saw and there's someone on Youtube doing a review of the Baileigh.....stating this.....Anyway....I thought it would be fair to come back and give this saw an honest 3-4 star for the money.

Awesome!
This is the best saw on the market for this price range. Cuts great if you know how to actually cut with a band saw. This one isn't for you if you're heavy handed. Take some time to adjust it. Think outside the box. Just wanted to let everyone know, it cuts much better if you tie/hang a weight for the plunge, instead of trying to apply pressure with your hand. I find that a piece of scrap metal and a clamp work just fine.

Perfect for anything you do with a Hacksaw
I cut mild steel bands for welded metal sculptures. Got really tired of using a hacksaw or jigsaw and a vise. This bandsaw is nice and slow for a clean controlled cut through metal. Better for holding long stock while cutting off a section than you could do on a vertical bandsaw (even if you can find one that runs slow enough for metal). Also good for clamping and cutting strips that have already been bent. By placing a longer bolt on the "stop" I can cut only to a desired depth, to facilitate bending a sharp angle.I do have a 14" chop saw with diamond blade that is good for quickly cutting bundles of re-bar. But the noise and spray of sparks make it unsuitable for any kind of precision work.

Very underpowered.
I had high hopes for this little handsaw which is probably why I'm so disappointed. It's really underpowered for what I needed. You have to have your finger on the trigger the entire cut. I could actually feel myself growing old as I waited for this saw to cut through some inch and a half square tube. The blade that came with it isn't the best quality and I will change it out soon enough. To give an idea of the power of this saw my Milwaukee M18 handheld bandsaw is .ore than twice as fast getting through material. I would have been better off buying the table attachment. The only saving grace for this saw is the price. It is cheap. I could see this being useful for cutting plastic and aluminum.

These were a lot better when they were a hundred bucks less
Wen are unsung makers of decent tools. So are Husky. The little saw is conveniently sized and portable. It does the job intended well and the swivel head instead of vise is really convenient for cutting angles.Just wish they had held the price instead of more than a full hundred bucks in price increase.Sorry too say, the Vevor saw looks about the same for nearly $200 less. Probably made in the same factory.

works fine so far
Was hopeful when I purchased, but was also weary. Seems to be well made. Have a few other WEN products, and they have all done well, and this is no exception. If using in a full time shop, I am sure it would not be robust enough to keep up with production. But for a home machine that will see light use and some fabrication, it seems like it is going to work out well. Have cut a few pieces of 2 inch 1/8 thickness square without any issues, along with multiple other smaller metal pieces. The variable speed is also nice. I did purchase a couple imachinist blades, and did not even try to use the supplied blade. Will update if I run into any problems
