Nice Collector Quality
Nice collector quality car. I bought this to get an autograph put on it. It worked great for what I needed it for.

Good, but not Greenlights best.
Overall a good quality built/detailed die cast. The construction quality of the die cast seems to be solid as always in line with the Greenlight brand. Exterior detail is pretty good except a couple things I will mention later. Greenlight usually puts out an outstanding mid level priced/detailed die cast. I am a little disappointed in a few things on this one. The biggest major disappointment is does not have opening hood with engine compartment viewable. Two lesser negatives, is the trunk does not open and the glass T-tops are not removable. A missing feature that the original ERTL 1:18 scale Smokey and The Bandit die cast had, is there is no CB radio antenna on the top of the car. The biggest discrepancy on this release from the actual movie car and the original 2002 ERTL release is the wheels are silver instead of gold. Greenlight missed on a few things on this one in my opinion, so not one of their best detailed cars. Their earlier Smokey and the Bandit II movie die cast (1980 Trans Am) was overall a little better. I gave it 4 stars on the rating, but really I would say 3.5 stars if there was that option.

Overpriced and underwhelming
The overall proportions, paint, sculpt and mold lines are excellent. It looks fantastic on a shelf, and has a solid heft of diecast metal. The doors are solid and open beautifully and without gigantic "toy" hinges. The gold pin-striping and Firebird decos are clean, detailed, and straight. However, closer inspection and actually interacting with the model reveals a number of flaws that would be acceptable in a $20-30 Maisto, but are unacceptable in a model that costs two or three times more.- The hood/bonnet doesn't open to reveal the engine.- The trunk/boot doesn't open.- The T-Top glass panels aren't removable.- The wheels aren't the proper gold finish; they look good from an angle, but straight on appear to be silver.- Headlights, tail lights, indicator lights, reflectors, and the windshield display obvious pins or chunks of plastic where they are molded to mount inside the diecast housing; these should have been free of pegs and mounted with an adhesive.- Rear view mirrors are stickers that do not have enough adhesive; driver side flutters away if you look at it funny.- The axles clatter about when you move the model, giving it a cheap feel.- The tires are so hard I thought they were ABS plastic until I rolled it on a countertop; tires are uneven and bulge on the interior edge.- Comes packaged in a solid brick of styrofoam as if it were a $300 resin model; no window box for dust-free display.I want very much to love this model and have been looking for a '77 from Smokey and the Bandit for the longest time; this is the only game in town for now, or I'd get rid of it and pay the premium to get something better.Thing is, for $60 or so, I kind of thought I was doing exactly that.OH, and Amazon, what exactly does "Thickness" mean as a feature I should rate? The thickness of the diecast metal? Pretty thick, I guess. Kind of like the mental capacity of your review algorithm.
