Peter with NU2U is a top notch business owner and makes excellent products of the highest quality. The flame tamer does a great job of detecting the flame up and preventing your crust from burning.

I'm not overly thrilled by the price for just a standard piece of metal that's bent, but since I couldn't find it anywhere else I decided to give this one a try. I have the regular Roccbox not the dome and it fits and works perfectly. It definitely prevents the charring and burning of the pizza closest to the flame. Why it's so ridiculously expensive and didn't come with the unit itself to begin with is most likely due to marketing and greed by the manufacturer.

Seems to help with pizzas. Doubles as a wind break helping to keep your flame from blowing out if repositioned. I did not season mine at first and it started to get a bit rusty. Scrubbed off the rust and put a very light coat of cooking oil on it for the next high temp pizza cook and it’s not as rusty/corroded anymore.

This was a great buy. Craftmanship is absolutely solid. Using it for my Gozney Dome and works as advertised. Helps deflect the flame over.

I really like the extra time this gives me to turn my pizzas. Makes for a more authentic NY style. It’s heavy duty and will last the lifetime of the oven.
