Perfect splitter to split audio or microphones

This splitter works with TRRS mics. A TRRS mic is known as a 4-pin (or 4-pole) microphone. How do you know if you have one: look for THREE black bands around the plug (three bands split the plug into FOUR areas- hence the definition of a 4-pin/4-pole). I tested this with two lavs I bought here on Amazon (a Movo PM10 and a Movo PM10W). Splitter works perfectly. Additionally, I also used a TRRS auxiliary audio cable (Male to Female Extension) made by CableCreation (also bought here on Amazon). No problem there either.The posted pictures will help (and I don't know why the manufacturer didn't post these). The pics clearly show what works and what won't. If you need to use two mics for your smartphone (and you already have the mics), this fits the bill. If you haven't already, pick up a TRRS extension as it will give you a little more room to work with shorter cables.

I sometimes use two microphones for my mirrorless camera rig to capture audio. Having a splitter allows you to connect two microphones via the splitter to the single ⅛" audio input in your camera. Works as intended and has held up. Highly recommended.

I inquired by email because I thought my product was bad. They were kind enough to answer, and they were kind enough to answer.My problem was below.The Y-connector does not work.The answer to this is below.Please make sure of connections are tight by pushing in the male ends into the female ends all the way in till you hear a "click" sound.The '"click" sound is very important because it indicates a proper connection to two items.This product needs more power than you might think when you first connect it. I leave 3 stars because maybe the issue is with my scenario. I'm trying to use this for a Cisco video codec, when I plug both mics, they turn red (muted) when I disconnect one mic, the behavior is normal. mute and unmute works fine.So in case you want to use this for Cisco mics, doesn't work.

It's hard to find a splitter for mic and mic. This one has worked exceptionally well since I purchased it in June of 2017. I'm writing this review in October of 2021. Plugs right into my android phone and allows me to plug in two lapel mics for interviews. Sound quality is great. Very pleased with this product and would highly recommend!

so we were looking to have a way to make videos and create podcasts that look and sound professional with out spending a boat load on studio gear. Being that the operation was to be mobile that also limited us. We are now able to create this content and make it sound great with the Y adapter. The audio sounds like we have high tech stuff and gone are the airy distant recording that are hard to listen to. Great products. Plug and play the way I like them.Thank you.
