Update 12/26/23: The honeycom/catalyst inside broke apart driving Dow the interstate. This immediately caused me to lose 80% of the power from my engine. This was a very dangerous situation when everybody’s going 80 miles an hour around you. . As an added bonus, let’s call it a prize, it completely ruined my downstream converter. So whatever it was, I paid for this piece of junk. It’s gonna cost two grand in the end. That’s fine if it’s poor quality and throw the check engine light. I can live with that. But when it breaks apart, it’s gonna ruin everything. I know I won’t get it, but I’m gonna seek compensation.Turns out there was nothing wrong with my old one but now I have something wrong because this one gives me a code. It’s not a real catalytic converter. But what am I to do now. I already recycled my old one and the next day this one gave me the code. I can’t pull it back off. I would be surprised if this new one is already starting to plug up.

My Hyundai’s P0420 Cat converter efficiency code was on. Efficiency test at my OBD-2 scanner showed 67%, this failed. Ordered this cat converter as a cheap solution. Installed it. Same code came back immediately. Efficiency test showed 37%. Worst than original failed converter. Once i took it off to replace with a good quality one, i realized the honeycomb was terrible smaller than original one. They used too little material inside. Worst part is i had to do the job twice. I do not recommend this product.

Fitment was not precise, lower shield could not be reinstalled, different size bolt holes.
