i had a bear visit my backyard—it knocked over my bird feeder and even damaged part of my fence. It was a scary experience, especially knowing I have family and kids at home. Works well, but doesn’t go very far, especially in windy conditions. Can also get on your hands easily so after washing is a must

Saved my dog from being hurt by another mean large dog off leash. I have used bear spray twice, won't do permanent harm, but that dog WILL run away instantly....

I wanted to share a story on this item though 😬 my kids and I were driving through glacier national Park I had the bear mace in the side pocket of my backpack in between my son and I while I was driving my elbow bumped the bear mace which I did not put the lock back on it and the mace went shooting out towards my son's face, almost instantly the car was full of mace, our eyes burning unbearably to the point where I couldn't see the road, our skin was burning it was awful! Don't wash with warm water actually don't wash with soap at all you'll only spread it on your skin! Many many hours after this incident I took a shower and I felt that parts of my body that were not exposed to the bear mace were on fire as if I just got sprayed.
