Perfect, or near perfect circles...
Cut by using this template I didn't want to believe that something like this would work but it is an awesome product Don't know why I waited so long to purchase and use on my Makita plunge router this is a very strong and useful product.

Accurate and flexible
How did I go soo long without this? This is absolutely the single best accessory you can own for a router. Its easy to set up, very accurate, versatile in the size holes you can do, its very stable when cutting the circle, just remember to make several shallow passes to cut through. This is more for heat dissipation and chip removal to prolong the bit life. As stable as it was I imagine you could do a depth of cut up to 1/2 pretty safely and effortlessly..

Good
Mostly good, but the stinkin' little clear plastic circle that's used to position the collet in the right place is stupidly hard to remove after set up (at least mine was. It got super stuck). I had to smash it out. Ridiculous.

Plunge base required, does not fit RT0701C fixed base
Material is thick and tool appears well made. I did not get to try it on my Makita RT0701C, as I don't (and i'd suspect most dont) own the 75$ optional plunge base accessory. This tool is not compatible with "Fixed base" routers. I have a 290 model on order which I believe will work.

Thought this would be a great circle cutter... bit disappointed.
It's setup to install on your router upside down. Also calibrated to cut outer circles. So If I put it at 14 1/2" and cut with a 1/4" bit, the outer circle will be 14 1/2" while the inner circle is 14 inches. So you need to add 2x your cutter diameter to the size of the circle you want if you're doing an inside circle instead of an outside circle. What I dislike the most, is the circle measurements on the jig are upside down. Once the router is attached, you have to flip it over to read the measurement for the alignment pin, put the pin in the hole, then put the jig with pin in place into the workpiece.None of the pre-drilled holes fit my palm router, so I drilled my own holes & flipped the jig over so I can put the pin in the workpiece, then drop the jig onto the pin at the measurement I want to cut at.
