These work as advertised. I like the warm light of an incandescent bulb. The are advertised as 40 lumens, and that seems about right. They are not super bright if thats what you are looking for. But if you want a nice soft light thats not blinding bright then these will work fine.

Summary: I have tried many cheap Chinese LED bulb replacements because the Philips and Sylvania bulbs are incredibly overpriced and not particularly better. These are actually better.The color of the light is pleasant. It’s not as warm as the incandescent bulbs they replaced, but it’s an OK “natural white”, maybe 4000k. Most “white” automotive or RV LEDs are either headache-inducingly blue-white (6000k or above) or attempt a “warmer white” but instead give everything a sickly greenish-yellow cast.They also run much, much cooler than incandescents and draw much less power, so are less likely to drain your battery if you accidentally leave the dome light on for the night.I was hoping for even more brightness, but these are still a vast improvement over the original bulbs, and, like I said, better than any other bulbs I have found, including name-brands.

I put the 42mm daylight leds in my interior lights. More light and less heat than the standard bulbs they replaced.

I have just installed these, and 5 out of 5 work and the quality seems fine. With a very translucent lens over the light fixture it is not possible to tell the difference between the original incandescent and these LEDs in both brightness and color. (All five were the same color.) Although they do omit light in all 360 degrees, there is definitely a brighter side to them, edges between the two sides. Since I am mounting them in ~200 degree fixtures, this is not a problem, but in a 360 degree fixture it would be noticeable. I am purchasing a second set to complete the job.

I bought these to replace the incandescent bulbs in my anchor light. The base is just a touch wider than the bulb I removed, causing it to make contact with the metal frame and short. I ended up going back to Sylvania DE3175 and the anchor light works again, at ten times the power drain. I'm going to try an alternate LED bulb.

I liked the idea of these festoon lights - I've had no luck finding a good LED because they are all TOO bright and create a blinding hot-spot glare.But these are way too dim. I would bet that any and all OEM bulbs, even if they're an ugly yellow, are brighter than these.

At last, a 12V LED for your car that's close in color and brightness to (or maybe a bit brighter than) the traditional incandescents. You can mix these with the incandescent bulbs your car came with and not see a glaring color difference.There is a difference in color and spectrum, but you'll probably perceive it as a brightness difference.Many cars use the bayonette/festoon shape bulb for a dome light or for lights at the base of the door. I'm using these for both and am happy with the color and brightness.

We have a RV and we like to keep one light on near the bathroom while we sleep. I replaced all other incandescent bulbs on the RV with energy saving LED's that are brighter. However, the bulb I want cannot be intensely bright like the many others I've seen. This bulb is exactly what we wanted. It puts out a warm light and is cool to touch even after being on for an extended period of time. The incandescent bulb we had before got really hot and actually melted the light cover, not to mention a 5 watt draw. We are happy campers! Thank you.
