Kettle Art
Love my kettle -- after several months of heavy use it continues to perform perfectly. You can see the temperature rise on the old-fashioned gauge! It has a lovely ding when you press the on button and when it reaches the temperature you set (think: "fasten your seatbelts and prepare for hot water")! There's a lever to slide to your desired temperature! And a window too see how much water is in the tank! It's built like a tank and is so freaking adorable, it looks like something out of a Wes Anderson movie. Mornings start out happy for me using this kettle, and that makes it worth the price, which is high.

Best Kettle Ever!
I have owned this kettle since June, and this is by far the best kettle I have ever owned. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny. I use this kettle 3-5 times per day so it gets a lot of use!It is extremely quiet when the water is boiling, which is the primary feature I was looking for. It looks great on the counter, and has a beautiful thermometer on the side so you know the temperature of the water. I really love that I can adjust the kettle to quit when it reaches a certain temperature, which is great when preparing most green teas. When the water is done, it has a nice chime. That was a bit confusing for a few weeks, because it sounds exactly like our door bell.On first use, there is a strange smell, but that goes away after the first few uses. I recommend boiling several pots of water and throwing it away.I will say that I have had some issues with it. The lid mechanism broke so it wouldn't open when I pushed the button, but that never bothered me, because I always fill it through the spout anyway. This morning when I went to boil my water, it chimed 5 times and would not start up. I still gave this a 5 star rating because of the amazing customer service from KitchenAid. I called the customer service line, and received very prompt and friendly service. They are sending me a new one right away, with a new 5 year warranty.I would definitely recommend this kettle!

Best Electric Tea Pot
I never write reviews, but after reading through a number of very negative reviews of this tea kettle, I just had to add my two cents. We have owned the Kitchen Aid Kettle since we received it for a wedding present in 2016. We have LOVED and USED it all six of those years. It is the most frequently used item in our kitchen. It is beautiful, sturdy and very effective. I keep waiting for it to die (because appliances just don't last that long anymore), and so, looked it up again today to be sure Kitchen Aid still makes it. I will definitely buy another when this one no longer works. I notice the price has increased about $50 since 2016. I only hope it is still made with as much care. This is definitely worth the money as I have had multiple other electric kettles that were expensive but fell apart or stopped working a short while into their lives. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Service is awesome!
This was my second Kitchenaid electric kettle. These have 5 year warranties! I bought a 2nd one as the 1st neared the end of it's warranty, and, it was on sale on Amazon. I bought the second in case they stopped making them even though the 1st still worked just fine. The second one failed yesterday in July 2021 after heating water 3-4 times a day to make about a gallon or more of tea per day (I love tea). I checked other brands to see if I liked anything better, then I called Kitchenaid regarding warranty service , they told me they'd ship a new one to arrive in 5-7 days, to take the new one out, put the old one back in the packaging, use the shipping label and send it back to them. Pretty darned pain free!Pro:-Warranty hard to beat. Checked other choices, 1-2 year warranties, some you had to ship at your own cost.-USA company. Kitchenaid is a Whirlpool brand. I like US companies.-Slide bar to control temperature. I like to reduce caffeine consumption, so decaf black brews at near boiling, while white and green teas are lower. I don't have to reset by pushing buttons every time if I'm brewing tea at a lower temp which is nice.-Large capacity, 1.7L.-Mechanical features vs shorter lived electronics. A dial for how warm the water is vs digital read out. A slide for presetting the temperature to heat the water to.Neutral:- One loud "bing" when temperature is reached. It's loud, but if I'm busy, I can miss hearing it. My Kitchenaid hood/over range microwave "bings" for a minute or two after the timer reaches zero.- More expensive. However, if another kettle only has a 1-2 year warranty, this turns out a good deal since there is real warranty support for 5 years. This is why expense is neutral instead of a con.I like companies that support their products, especially when they are solidly made.

Fits the decor, works like a charm
As a dyed-in-the-wool tea drinker, the search for the "perfect" tea kettle has been long and arduous … After melting the enamel coating of two stove top kettles onto the range, I got smart and decided to investigate electric tea kettles. I tried kettles by Oster, Hamilton Beach, and Cuisinart, to name a few, but always ran into one problem or another. - Some worked great initially, then stopped heating water to temperature within a few weeks, others failed after inadvertently being allowed to boil-dry, some were hard to fill, while others leaked when poured into the cup.I was hesitant at first about going with this KitchenAid model because of the price tag, but I was won over by the idea that I could set the temperature manually (and easily!) for different drinks or soups. After using it for a few months, however, I can say that I never made a better purchase! It really is quite simple to use, and the temperature and water-level indicators are easy to read. It heats water consistently and quickly, and really, isn't that the whole point?! I haven't had any problems with this model, and the added bonus, of course, is that it looks wonderful on my kitchen counter, adding a splash of color to my decor. It's a high-quality product, well-worth the price.
