The necklace would stab my neck and get stuck flipped. This is very cheaply made

Arrived broken
This necklace arrived two days earlier than expected and it’s very cute. Unfortunately, my daughter wasn’t able to wear it because the clasp wasn’t connected to the chain. I thought about returning it and ordering a new one, but the new arrival date was several weeks from now. I’ll fix it in the meantime but am concerned about it’s sturdiness.
