For a couple of years I have been trying to get a decent tap fitting for my four, oak barrels. I have tried all the adapters and bungs etc and all fail to live up to promise. Even the expensive, plastic insert being sold with a 1/2" bsp thread in it for a tap, failed after a year.So I saw this and thought, why not fit it on a barrel rather than through a wall? Just a short off cut of 15mm copper pipe and a 15mm hole in the barrel and all fitted and works fantastic. I did use a bit of non-set silicone but TBH I don't think it needs it if pipe is a tight fit.If anyone has searched Water butt taps you'll know how expensive they are and they are rubbish usually, I know, I've tried most. Literally took less than 10 minutes per barrel.Seller/Manufacturer, if you take up this idea and make a load of sales, send me a freebie :)

The tap itself is fine, the reason for 4 stars is the red connector is cheaply made should be standard fitting which it is but when hose is attached it separates from hose fitting.

Replaced an old outside , "hosepipe Connection" tap (which was more expensive).Was really easy , took an hour I guess, finding the drill ect also fitted an isolator valve . Good value , all the fittings are in the pack . Would recommend 👍

I'm not a professional plumber, but have always taken on plumbing projects myself. I needed to replace an old outdoor tap with one that also included the ability to fix to a wall for stability. This tap exceeded my expectations for quality, and was not difficult to install. I'm more than happy with it.

I read all the reviews on this tap and was a bit concerned about the negative ones.I need not have worried the tap is perfect and easy to fit with basic plumbing knowledge.I would recommend it every time.
