These toy cars look nice and have a kind of retro design to them, but aren’t very durable. One of them broke within a few hours and two others within a week. The only one that still works is the airplane and our little girl isn’t very hard on her toys.Whatever the mechanism is that is used to make them go after pressing down on the head has broken. When you press down on the head you can hear a gear trying mesh or make contact m, but it never does. You can work around this by pulling back on them and letting them go, but these weren’t designed to be used that way.After a short notice trip we missed out on the return window, otherwise I would’ve returned to see if we had the same problem with the replacements. In these current times with inflation rising and extra time spent trying to get things to work that if they were better designed and engineered $23 seems to expensive for just one toy to work - these definitely fall into the NOT RECOMMENDED category.

These friction toys are like the ones from the 1950's. You get an airplane, tug boat, train, and race car. What a bargain. You do not have to wind them you just press down on the head of the toy, and it takes off. Not jut for boys, girls will also love playing with them. They are all wood and very strudy. Not limited for just babbies and toddlers, older children will also love playing them. My husband and I are senior citizens, and we had fun playing with them (had to make sure they were ok for grandchild). Perfect toy except that the toys need to be played with on a wood or tile flor. They won't work on carpets or rugs. Length is 5"

My 2 year old grandson can not these toys down. A toy that doesn’t need a battery and is sturdy enough to get thrown without falling apart. His parents had to order more for the upstairs and downstairs play rooms and for his other grandmas house. He adores them and on occasion naps with one. Can not recommend them enough.

Grandson is just 3 and live cars and trucks. He opened them and never out them down. Nice size for a young kid and easy to hold and they really move!

I bought this for a busy 2 year old boy. He was able to use right away, it held his interest, and they appeared to be well made and were nicely packaged.
