Fitted in place, works well. Holds the bonnet securely.

I used 2 of these struts to hold up 2 100 Watt Renogy solar panels on the roof of my van. Extend and hold the panels weight perfectly when parked up. Easy to pull back down when driving.

Bought these to replace the struts on my caravan gas locker door. The original was 45N and 515 mm, someone had replaced one with a 145 N 480 mm. The 2x 100N work really well for me. Slightly more force than I'd like, but I couldn't find anything closer to original spec anywhere without spending a fortune. The two are ever so slightly different, so the door does not open quite evenly. I'm happy, but it isn't perfect.

Great units. We used these to replace the tired lifts on our elderly Nissan Navara.Now the tailgate pops up correctly, and as bonus closes better and more securely.Very happy to find such a quick, simple and cheap fix

Delivery persons keep leaving our side gate open, our dogs are always trying to escape up the road,,, works better than using a one of those spring gate closer and loads cheaper than a dedicated gas strut which has a damper and hard to open,Used on a 850mm wide 1800 tall wrought iron gate,,, just had to make a couple of brackets out of some angle iron to mount strut.
