Good Chitarra for the price.
This Chitarra works exactly as designed. Rather then my 24" pasta rolling pin I find that a seperate bakers rolling pin works best. First letting the pin rotate then as the pasta is almost through the Chitarra grasping the pin directly and sliding it back and forth till the strings show. Then a quick strum of the base of the strings and the pasta falls right out. Regarding the complaint that the Chitarra is delivered with the strings somewhat loose, that is how it should be. Always store your Chitarra with most of the tention taken off the strings then tighten it for use. Do this and it will reward you with years of service. It is so attractive and interesting that I have hung it on a cabinet in my kitchen and company first seeing it never fail to ask about it and comment on it.

Great product and worked flawlessly.
Bought this Chitarra pasta maker since we wanted to make the square spaghetti used for "Cacio e Pepe". Obviously I made the pasta and first thing I did was to tighten the strings so the pasta can fall of with ease. I will mention that we already have a manual pasta maker which is essential to make the dough, even though you can use a common roller. Super easy to use and a great bang for the buck. "Buon appetito".

Perfection!
I have not yet used this product, but it is exactly like the one I used in a pasta making class in Italy. This is a solid product, nicely made with perfectly strung wires that arrived tight and in perfect condition! (unlike other Chitarra cutters sold on Amazon) One side has small spaced wires for spaghetti and the other side has wider spaced wires for Fettuccine style. The product is packaged in a nice box with instructions and again in a shipping box, making sure that it arrives in one piece. It did have a slight warp (which is normal) but with the addition of a self sticking pad it no longer rocks. I can't wait to use this Chitarra Pasta Cutter. Thank you to Eppicotispa for a quality product!

Easy to use
This is an easy way to make homemade pasta. You don’t have to worry about gum up the machine. I use my KitchenAid pasta roller to roll out the dough put it on the chittara and use a rolling pin to cut it.

This is FUN!!
Okay, I've been making pasta for years, I have lots of pasta equipment--some good, some not so good--but this is the cutest l'il thing that I have ever used! Plus, it makes music. (Just kidding).I made some straight up plain pasta dough and ran it through my roller at the thinnest setting; let it sit for a bit; then tried various rolling pins to see which would work best. This was for the angel hair side--haven't tried the spaghetti side.I discovered that the best method seems to be to be sure to lightly flour the section before beginning to roll; then after giving it a few passes, press down and slide down the length of the wires without allowing the roller to turn--just pushing it.Also make sure that the wires are good and tight. Presto! Some quite lovely product.UPDATE: I've now made both sizes of pasta with equal success. The larger size was actually easier and the noodles are great! fyi, my dough recipe is very simple: 1 egg per person dropped in the middle of a pile of ATTA flour (available at Costco), some salt on top of the egg; whisk with a fork a bit, flipping the flour onto the egg. Work the whole mess with hands. Moisten if needed. Be sure and knead for a good ten minutes. Presto. One egg will make plenty for a small dinner for two.

Serviceable.
Was servicible. Would be much better if rolling pin was included. One that fit it better than an ordinary one. Wires could have been more taught for brand new. Wood s bit rough. Serviceable though. Wa a fine for the price
