I use nasal lavage regularly due to some issues. I mean, I have had problems with retaining some mucus that seems to become infected and causes me earaches and balance issues. So using nasal lavage about 4 times a week does require packets of saline solution and these work great. They are the main reason my sinuses are clean and clear as I write this. Nasal lavage may not be the most fun thing to do, but the feeling afterwards - the clean-ness of the nasal cavity, the ability to breathe easily and my balance restored - I'd do that even though it's more of a chore (or ritual) than fun to do.

I followed the directions on the product box, and measured out 8-ounces of distilled water, and then poured in the contents of this saline packet. I vigorously shook my bottle. Most of the contents dissolved, although I could still see some granules at the bottom of the bottle.note: I used distilled water at room temperature (that is, bottles of distilled water that I had stacked in the corner of the kitchen). On the next rinse, I boiled water, let it cool slightly until I could comfortably dip my finger into the water, then added the contents of the saline packet and shook the solution. This saline seemed to dissolve better in the lukewarm water, as I didn't see as much of the granules (granted, this was just a visual estimate).This solution felt a bit strong during the nasal rinse; but, it did help to ease my nasal symptoms. I typically use saline products that have sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate (USP grade), so I am more used to that sensation.I sometimes do my own mixtures (to save money). These packets are much more convenient. I don't have to do any measurements. Just pour into distilled water, shake bottle, and use.Overall, despite the strength, these pre-measured packets help with my nasal issues.

I use nasal irrigation to help keep my sinuses clear and prevent germs from leading to colds, etc. Also, I find sinus irrigation to be very effective at treating and preventing sinus infections. I've used a variety of tools from neti pots to irrigation squeeze bottles to electric sinus irrigation bottles as well as simple nasal spray bottles. I've tried making my own batch of salt and baking soda in the past, but it gets messy and nothing beats the convenience of individually portioned pouches. These SinuAir 2.5 Gram Saline Packets are perfect because they are the perfect ratio and are so simple to use. I just add a packet into my distilled water (8 oz) and am ready to go. It doesn't sting and they work great at cleaning out my sinuses. Highly recommended!

Hypertonic saline is more concentrated than isotonic saline. Listing says 2 packets for isotonic, 1 packet for hypertonic - they both can't be right - probably both are wrong and backwards or just one is wrong. don't use this product until information is accurate.

They can be used when traveling or at home. My family does nasal rinses only when someone has shown a sign of a cold or when they have been around someone that is sick. Because of that, these will last for quite a while. The packets include a better mix than just using regular salt.

We've been using these for years for my son with his netty pot. We have tried other brands but always come back to SinuAir. We love the individual packets for convenience and portability. The granules dissolve quickly and completely without any graininess like some others have. This one barely has an odor which isn't noticeable unless you are really focused on it. They flush out his nasal cavities thourally without drying him out and it lasts sometimes a few days before he needs to do another treatment.
