Good, although doubtful durability due to the comments.
Personally, I installed it and it was very easy, the manual is simple, uncomplicated, a piece of equipment made for people who don't have to know about plumbing or electricity, I KNOW BOTH, but really easy.It maintains the pressure very well, in my case it was purchased for COLOMBIA, the city's water pressure is between 21 PSI or 25 PSI, and this equipment takes it perfectly to 40 and 45 PSI, which is more than enough for this property. It maintains pressure very well, it stops when there is no water coming from the city and the consumption is approximately 80 watts, impressive for my application. Also for properties that have OFF GRID solar systems as is my case. A tiny consumption for this function, and an almost undetectable motor start for a maximum of 110 Watts in my case.In short, without judging durability, very good so far.

Smart, Quiet and Efficient
Our water is pumped from a well to holding tanks that are elevated. We have about 20 PSI head pressure at the house. Before we got the Grundfos SCALA2 pump, we used a Wayne jet pump to give us the boost. Worked fine for years. I replaced the Wayne jet pump with the Grundfos pump. We have a 5 bedroom 3 bath house. My wife uses the washing machine constantly. The Grundfos pump maintains pressure between 55 and 60 PSI seemingly effortlessly. I added a small Flotec Pre-Charged pressure tank. I am not sure it made much of a difference, but the slight water hammer we had was fixed with the Flotec tank. As it is well water, it has some sand and silt. I installed a Pentek 150233, Big Blue 50 PPM filter on the low pressure side of the pump. The installation instructions recommends a filter to protect the pump. The pump does run a lot, but I think the motor is variable speed and learns how to maintain pressure. One of the best features is the electronic control and monitor panel. Provides info on current operation and past faults. It has a leak light that reports system leaks. We had a small leak we did not know about until we installed the pump So far so good.

vsd not worth the convenience
Mine lasted four years. Vsd is a great idea but like the new cars that have unserviceable circuit boards, they break faster and can’t be fixed. I’m going back to a pressure switch pump for my water catchment application. Glad I got the extended warranty on this because I doubted it.

excellent pump
We purchased the same pump in November of 2018. The pump has given us no trouble.

Solidly Built and Easy to Install
I replaced a 10 year old Grundfos MQ3-45 pump that finally gave up with this SCALA2 pump and I'm pretty happy with it so far.I'm demanding a lot of these pumps because my well setup puts the pumps at close to the maximum recommended head for a Grundfos boost pump, so I'm holding back a star until I see how long it lasts, but I have a lot more water pressure in the house than the MQ series pump ever managed to produce, with the SCALA set at the middle of its range for discharge pressure. I may back the discharge pressure down a step because it seems unnatural to have so much water coming out of the tap. There's none of that annoying "open the tap and wait for the MQ pump to kick in" with the SCALA pumps. Another improvement over the performance of MQ series pump is that we see very little pressure drop when someone flushes a toilet while the water is running in the shower - it's barely noticeable. That's huge.Installation was simple and the new inlet/outlet fittings made it possible to eliminate the union on the suction side. The pump is quiet. Although Grundfos suggests the pump may pound when it starts, I haven't seen any sign of it. Overall, it's a solid, smartly designed pump.Overall, the SCALA2 is a huge improvement on the MQ3-series pumps. The MQ3 held up for a decade. Now we'll just see how long the SCALA2lasts.I recommend it.

Best product
Easy to install and by far the best pump ever for the money. As I said before, I ran 20 plus homes on 1 pump for 60 days. Not a single problem.

Edit: Failed after 2 years
Instant pressure, no waiting as we had for many years with a Grundfos MQ-345 (recently deceased). Relatively easy to install, would have been even easier if we didn't have to start over with a lot of the inlet and outlet piping due to age. Does in fact maintain pressure even if multiple taps are in use, just as the literature says. Just installed 7-1-2018 so rating may change in the future but, having used Grundfos pumps for our home for 20+ years, I'm guessing longevity will be good.Edit: Dropping one star due to relatively poor warranty-only 2 years and you have to pay freight both ways for a heavy object and there appears to be a large number of exclusions to the warranty. Dropping to 2 stars as the pump failed after 2 years normal residential use, a common complaint it appears. First Scala lasted about the same, replaced with another Scala figuring first short life was an anomaly. It wasn't we're sad to say.
