Several years ago, I purchased a paper trimmer at Target, and it is still working. Though I am using it now more than I did, I’d like to preserve it since replacement blades cost more than the trimmer did.Seeing this one here on Amazon, I thought it would be a good one. It is about $25.Upon getting it, one thing I noticed – how flimsy it was. While some items are light-weight, it doesn’t mean they’re flimsy – this was.As I was waiting to do a project, I decided to pull this out and get started.While paper cutters are usually self-explanatory, even my Westcott one from Target had SOME instructions on the back of the packaging. This didn’t have anything on or in the box. Though I do have to admit, the box was better than the plastic packaging for my Wescott cutter.This came with an extra blade which was a bonus.Using this? It’s definitely not disabled and senior friendly. Unlike my current trimmer, this one you cannot merely SLIDE along the paper (or cardstock). This you have to PUSH DOWN and SLIDE. As a result, that can lead to tears or the paper shifting.There is a clear ruler to hold down the paper, but by holding down the paper – the blade has more difficulty going through the paper. Even a single piece, there’s no way this is going to do even three pieces of paper. I tried on cardstock – that was a disaster. I say that because most of my projects are on cardstock (bookmarks, etc).Given the price, lack of instructions, and how flimsy this is – it’s not going to meet even basic needs in my home. It isn’t something I would get again and definitely don’t recommend it either.

I have need to cut and trim paper from time to time. When it needs to be neater and more professional than I am capable of with a pair of scissors, I go to a nearby office store. Not only is that inconvenient, it is not a free service.For my occasional use, the Zequan trimmer works well. It will trim legal size paper (and longer) and can cut 10 sheets at a time. It cuts cleanly and an extra blade is included. It is compact and stores easily.For heavy duty/daily use you might want to consider a heavier duty trimmer, but for light to light-medium duty, this is ideal.

This cutter is fantastic for my crafting usages. I have a smaller 12" cutter but I was never able to use it with my larger pieces of heat transfer or permanent vinyl. For those I tried a full size cutter that wouldn't give me a clean cut. So far this trimmer has been prefect and accurate each time. A great value.

I like that it’s lightweight and can be stored any where. I have it in my filing cabinet with the paper, ink and school stuff. It made a clean cut as you can see. It has two slide razors and a ruler. Item as described and exactly what we need for school stuff or projects.
