The burgundy color is a rich, deep, dark red that just makes the ivory color and the floral accents on the rug stand out beautifully! Difficult to flatten the rug, but it is still eye-catching. After placing heavy items on the rug for about 2 weeks straight, the rug finally lay flat, so it is doable. I would buy it again. I only use it in a high traffic area. For the price and quality, it is acceptable to use this in a high-traffic area: It is beautiful but functional and without costing me a lot. Has a moderate chemical odor. Should let it air out outside for a couple of hours to let the chemical odor dissipate.Must use a non-slip pad or it will slide, so make sure to order a non-slip pad at the same time as when you order this.Happy customer.

gorgeous rug! super high quality and soft. the only issue is if you have pets, you need a good vacuum. i had to purchase a new vacuum to pick up pet hair because it sticks. 10/10 still recommend though.

I was concerned that the colors wouldn't be as vibrant in reality as they looked in the online photos, BUT....this is one item that looks AS good, if not BETTER in person than it did online! The colors are brilliant and beautiful! And it feels nice! This really spiced up my living room! LOVE IT!!!

We had purchased some expensive rugs from a local rug manufacturer/dealer but could not find the vibrant colors we wanted in a rug this size. So, we took a chance on this Amazon rug.Not sure how long a $190 rug will actually last, but, at that price you could replace it several times and not spend as much money as you might on a more expensive rug.Pros:The rug is beautifulCons:It is thinner than our expensive rugs – no surprise. If you want it to be “softer” you can easily place a carpet pad underneath. This would probably work.It came folded and wrapped like a burrito. Thus, it had ripples, crease, bends, and lumps. The instructions tell you to open the rug and let it sit for up to several weeks. This is not a great idea because it could put you past the return window. Then, you have a rug that looks terrible and you cannot return it. We purchased a steamer and steamed the rug three times. This worked. It took out the ripples, crease, bends, and lumps. My wife wanted a steamer anyway to the extra expense was warranted.Getting the rug to look nice might have been worth more trouble than it was worth. However, we did not find a rug anywhere else that fit our scheme and room.Conclusion: If you want a less expensive rug that looks nice (with a little work), then this rug might do the trick.

This absolutely looks like a real rug. I am an ethnic Persian and I have antique hand-knotted silk rugs in my other rooms that my family brought over during the revolution, but I needed something durable and cheap that could go in my dining room, which is a very high traffic area right by my front door. The layout of my apartment means everyone (utilities guys, the superintendent, contractors, or just party guests who came in very quickly) is going to step on the first rug with their shoes before I can stop them. Plus it's also the dining room and is probably going to get food spills. So I was looking for a cheap synthetic rug that could be abused, but that didn't clash with the rest of the house. This fits the bill beautifully. The medallion pattern and very deep blue (it almost looks black) is so striking, it actually helps *stop* people on their blithe march into my house, and makes them ask "uhhh, should I take off my shoes?"Of course you can feel under your feet that it's a synthetic rug, but it's definitely not bad, especially when combined with a thick rug pad. And it's easy-peasy to clean; I've removed cat puke from it twice already with simple wet cloths, and no stains or marks. (That's also a key strategy with this rug - the cat's food dish is in the kitchen nearby and this is the most likely rug she will puke on.)

Really nice. Plush, doesn't shed. It is a bit slippery on the wood floor so I needed to buy those sticky things that go on the corners to keep it from slipping.
