This is a very lightweight and compact sketchbook. It is great for travel. The paper is not superb quality but to practice and just play around it is great. I have gone through four of them

I have used five of these journals. When they become overstuffed with added and padded pages, I begin again, but my covers seem to morph. I go with this, rather than replace the cover.As a perpetual artist-in-training, and as being well educated and seasoned in my craft, I have used Strathmore paper and journals in my teaching classes and find it both excellent and fit.

Love these journals...great paper, very portable

I like that the book has a metal spiral that binds the book together. I am trying to make a series of subjects and this is perfect! The paper is sturdy and lets you create two types of textures depending on the side of paper you use.
