Off the bat, this is an awesome product. Tool less linkage. Come'n But there is one tiny, winy, catch. The instructions were written for the engineered minded and not your average anybody. Take it slow. You need to be sure that the single rounded, inner side, of the hole, is in line with the inner part of your bike chain. Or is it the other way around....? That's what's a bit confusing. But other than that, this product is wonderful and easy to use once you take the time to understand how it works. If you hear a bumping sound when riding, you have it on the wrong direction and must stop quickly and fix it.

I can remove the chain without tools for cleaning, waxing or repair. Great design. I don't worry at all about it coming apart when it shouldn't.

Good product! No tools needed: installs with just your hands. Just read the instructions and put it on right-side-up.

I bought two of these for our new e-bikes so I could easily remove the chain after riding on dirt trails and do a deep cleaning. They were easy to install, and now I can remove the chains thoroughly clean them, and put them back on, with no tools required.

I thought they were odd that they just slide into place but with several thousand miles on my bikes I have never had a issue with them. And I can remove chain for cleaning and reuse it.

I now use parafin wax to lube my bike chain and this product makes taking my chain apart very easy.

Honestly it is pretty damn good. Lasted me two chains so far without a spec of rust. All of this is to be expected for the most expensive master link made. This 8 speed is compatible with 7/6/5 speed chains though. Do not buy for 9 speed. For 9 speed buy their 9 speed stuff.
