We purchased one of these Pet Fusion ToughGrip silicone litter box mats and were so satisfied with it's performance that we ordered another a few weeks later for under a second litter box!! Having tried every possible type of litter box mat over the years in our multi-cat household, we can unequivocally say that this silicone mat is the best by far. The mat is thick and durable and stays in place when shifting the litter box around. The back side is covered in silicone "dimples" to provide added traction on tile or wooden floors. This ToughGrip mat is weighty, but its easy enough enough to pick up and move around, or shake out on a routine basis - as needed multiple times a day in this household! As opposed to other thinner plastic/rubber litter mats that we've tried that have cracked with repeated bending/moving, this silicone mat provides both durability and flexibility. The high edges and wavy ridges on this ToughGrip mat effectively trap kitty litter that has been kicked out or dragged out of the litter box by our kitties...cutting down on litter tracked throughout the house. Cleaning these mats via sweeping, vacuuming, or wiping with a cloth is a breeze, particularly compared to other textured mats with deep crevices that we've tried. With four kitties, ease of cleaning and the leakproof guarantee were major factors in choosing this ToughGrip mat. The silicone mat washes up easily with water and a soft brush or rag - and, importantly, does NOT retain any urine or feces odors after washing. With four cats, one of our kitties is invariably dropping something out of the box!! This mat, as advertised, is TOTALLY leak proof...and, indeed it was! We tested that feature before placing it under the litter box on one of our carpets. The ToughGrip mat comes in at least two different sizes - and the larger size provided perfect coverage, even for our cats extra large litter boxes. These ToughGrips seem to be up to the job at hand and appear built to last....totally worth the price!!

Works well for use under the cat litter. No special flattening needed, and localizing liquid accidents to a small portion of the mat because of the ridges, which makes it very easy to clean.

I adopted kittens a couple of months ago. It has been a learning experience finding out what works for us and what doesn't. My baby girl has CH or wobbly kitten syndrome. She makes a mess using the litter box. I need a litter mat that not only reduced the litter tracking,but one that could be wiped down easily.We've gone through several mats. They were too damaged to return. The problem with the ones that "trap" the litter is that you can't get it out. I'd spend all that time cleaning up their area. As soon as I put the mat down, litter would shake out. Ugh! This mat catches all the litter in the grooves. I just fold it, pick it up, and pour it back in the box. I sometimes vacuum it with the hose attachment. Best part is the rubber is smooth. When Siggy drags poo, all I have to do is wipe it with vet wipes. Once a week, I take it outside and hose the whole thing down with blue dish washing liquid and a little bleach. It dries fast. It is durable. The rubber is thick. You could park a car on it. In fact one could use it as an oil mat. The mat is large enough for both boxes. Trust me. Best mat on the market. I have tried every single one.

It's big enough to fit both the boxes that I got, it catches the litter and isn't impossible to clean. It loses a star because my cats want to scratch at it and because it's hard plastic their claws sometimes get stuck adn then I get woken up when they scream in panic if they can't get out. I've tried trimming their claws back but it's something about the mat itself.

Another great product from Petfusion! I’ve tried so many mats over the years. While the traditional litter trapping mats do trap litter, they’re impossible to fully clean (litter always stays trapped) and if your cat messes on them, in the trash they go.The Petfusion mat works well and cats have no issue walking on it. I purchased two (one for each litter box). They are made of a nice heavyweight silicone and grips to our hardwood floors nicely (mat stays put) and do trap a great deal of litter upon their exit and the material makes it easy to clean.Let’s face it, litter simply gets everywhere but these mats do help greatly with containing it. Unless you can train your cat to use the toilet, litter will still find its way elsewhere from whatever stays trapped in their paws; my cats like to toss it around like confetti.My only suggestion would to make them a tad longer (or offer them in different sizes). My litter boxes are large and take up almost the entire mat. Otherwise, very happy with my purchase.

I ordered this based on customers' reviews and was not disappointed. As expected, this is a heavy mat, so it does require a little lifting power each day to fold it into a hotdog bun shape and drain the trapped litter back into a cat box, but I find the work is worth it. We have the boxes sitting on our old mats so this mat can be lifted daily without to move the boxes themselves. This is so much tidier than our old mats, the litter trapping mats with the envelop style and hexagon shaped holes on one side; they get really gross and are a mess to empty and clean. This mat can be also be vacuumed or wiped down without having to haul it to the utility sink for a full wash and then wait for it to dry. I was skeptical that the small waved grooves would trap litter, but they do. I also think our kitties prefer walking on this mat over the hexagon holes surface, so they are doing less of the "launch" exit from their boxes (they were jumping, I suspect to avoid stepping on the old mats), which in turn means less mess. This was a relatively expensive purchase, but since I clean the cat box area twice daily it's worth it. I recommend the large size for just about any cat box set up. If I didn't already have the other mats, I would need two of these; one for the boxes to sit on and one for the area in front of the boxes.
