Amazing product
I recently purchased Gallery Mungyo soft pastels, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The colors are incredibly vibrant and blend beautifully, making them perfect for both detailed work and larger washes. The creamy texture allows for smooth application, which is great for creating rich layers and gradients. What impressed me even more was the fast delivery. My order arrived well-packaged and just a couple of days after placing it. This quick turnaround made it easy to dive right into my projects without any delays. Overall, I highly recommend Gallery Mungyo soft pastels for their quality and the efficient service I received!

Think Affordable Sennelier
The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research before buying my first Mungyo Oil Pastels and I'm an ardent fan for the past two years now! As an art teacher, I've recommended this to my students aged 6-15 and they all loved this set! Seeing the kind of art my students have created with this, and the fun I've had creating paintings right along with my students is an experience that was made precious because of this high quality set. Now, the technicalities:1. Blending these with bare fingers may cause fingers to feel a little rough after washing. But I've preferred soft blending with my fingers because of the wonderful finish I get.2. To preserve your work, use a good quality hairspray to seal the colors in about an hour after the painting is complete. I use Enliven with amazing results. It prevents color from getting transferred and prevents fading. Other hair sprays like Gatsby have actually damaged my work. For archival quality work, use a high quality varnish.3. I've used Sennelier oil pastels and Sakura as well. Sakura is crumbly. Sennelier melts in my hands. Mungyo is just about the right consistency and softness.4. The shades are amazing with beautiful olives and turquoises and salmons and Reds. The 48 set doesn't have the rosier pinks, so that's a sad minus. But I do hope they will make the colors from the 72 set available as open stock because it really makes more sense for everyone that way. When it comes to available shades, I prefer Mungyo over Sennelier. Except the Sennelier white. That one is way more brilliant than Mungyo, which tends to be harder and doesn't show as starkly as the Sennelier does.I've used these colors for two years and I know they give the more expensive brands some tough competition! All in all, a wonderful buy.

Good
Pastels are good but somehow creamy and sticky. Overall good as you can buy single colours, but very costly though.

The best
Super creamy, super blendable and gives absolutely realistic results. It's really rich and pigmented. You can layer one colour over the other and it works like a charm

Expensive yet Outstanding Oil Pastels
The oil pastels are a bit pricey, but their quality is truly exceptional. The colors are vibrant, and they blend smoothly on paper, making artwork pop with richness and depth. Despite the cost, the fantastic results and durability of these pastels make them worth the investment for artists looking to create stunning, long-lasting pieces.

Professional quality at a very reasonable price.
These are professional quality oil pastels with high pigment pay out. They are not waxy like cheaper pastels. I used them as a beginner and they were really easy to use. I would recommend not to try blending with fingers or tissue paper as this dulls the colours. Blending tools would be better. This is a beautiful set of oil pastels and I will be recommending these to anyone who wants a great, colourful set of professional quality oil pastels.Picture : This is the sketch I made with these oil pastels prior to blending (still need to buy blending tools). I also purchased mungyos metallic and fluorescent colours (I have used gold metallic in my sketch)which aren't as great quality, but understandable since they are very much cheaper, but still pretty good and worth buying for more colour options. I read that it's best not to use a fixative with oil pastels as this changes the colours. I will be using wax paper over my picture to prevent transfer of the oil pastel. I am very happy with this brand and have also purchased their water colours and other items.Edit : second pic is post blending. I used Mont marte shaper tools, which I found to be excellent. Pricey but worth it.
