Smokin' Motor!
Well, the motor began smoking as soon as I plugged it in and pressed the pedal. In addition, a few small flakes of plastic blew out of the back. Thinking that the motor was just burning off some manufacturing oil, I let it run a few minutes. Soon, it just quit. The pedal IS a variable speed, but only under zero load. With a normal load on the motor, the speed control is just on or off. Not recommended.

110 volt not 125 volt. Burnt up.
If you're buying this motor for your home sewing machine it will burn up like mine did. I purchased this it didn't last a week the reason is it is rated for 110 volts which is primarily commercial applications like schools . this motor is not designed for residential use. find one that is rated for 125 volts. Amazon sells them but they are harder to find.

After watching a few videos it was simple to install
Although I’m not sure if it’s going to work very long as it gets hot. I’m going to change the band to the one that came with the motor and see if that does any better

Works great even on old hardware!
I got this for my mom's 30+ year old sewing machine and it worked perfectly! I usually don't leave reviews but my mom is enjoying it so much I feel that I need to post something about it.
