Great flavor
I am a competitive athlete. I cannot give a high enough rating for this product ++++++++++. My results are not amazing, they are absolutely ASTOUNDING. My own results are so incredible it's ***hard to believe***. Without a doubt massive results. Of course, if you sit on a couch all day you might not notice anything, You can save a little $/oz over the smaller sized offering and you get a sold fruity flavor which I find appealing. The flavored version is delish. Morning: Tablespoon IP6, scoop of protein powder and some Ovaltine with some milk. Want a frozen smoothie? IP6, protein powder, frozen banana, peanut butter and a tray of ice. Add whatever you want (or not), it's your choice,

Tastes Awful!
This may be a good supplement but I had to choke down the first glass of this chalky nasty flavored stuff. Immediately threw it away.

cancer survivor, very effective for me
(see update below) Early during the course of my remission from APL leukemia, I would occasionally experience symptoms that preceded the original onset of my disease, as well as cutaneous eruptions that were reported to presage a relapse. As the recommended option for a full relapse would be bone marrow transplant (a grueling procedure, very risky at my age), I opted to instead search for alternative therapies. Though I am not well-versed in oncology, my training in neuroscience at least made it easy to read the scientific literature on the subject. A fellow colleague had mentioned IP6, being studied for its anti-cancer effect by Dr. Shamsuddin's laboratory at the University of Maryland. The literature looked very good (many peer reviewed papers, including work from several research groups other than Dr. Shamsuddin's), and given that IP6 is naturally present in the human body, I decided to give it a try. I started with the formulation sold at Whole Foods because it was most convenient and I like their products for other vitamins and supplements. For me, the effect was dramatic. My energy immediately improved and the cutaneous symptoms completely disappeared. The only downside was that after one week of taking IP6 I developed some mild muscle cramping (binding of calcium by IP6 should theoretically cause cramping) and a slight negative effect on mood, so I opted to go on a modified schedule of 5 days on, 25 days or so off, which actually mimicked the dosing regimen that had been used for one of my chemotherapy drugs. But the muscle cramps would still occur on occasion, and the colleague who originally recommended IP6 suggested that I try Dr. Shamsuddin's formulation, which was reported to have no effects on mood or muscular side effects (possibly as a result of the formulation, i.e. a balance between inositol and IP6). I switched and he was right! Because the 5 days on, 25 days off was keeping me healthy and I like to minimize the extent to which I take anything, I've stayed with that approach and am still leukemia-free at the 4-year point.I firmly believe that it is time for large clinical trials of IP6, but the flaw in developing treatments in the U.S. is that the trials are unlikely to be performed when no large pharmaceutical company is willing to foot the bill. They won't, because IP6 is cheap. Thus, it is my opinion that Dr. Shamsuddin is really heroic in his mission to make this safe and effective option available to cancer patients and survivors like me.Update: 4/14/2017. I am more convinced than ever that this product has saved my life. Late last summer and into the fall, I was travelling extensively and had run out of my supply of IP6. I'd been doing so well, that I decided not to worry and skipped nearly 3 months. In early November, I crashed, was not feeling well at all and developed the worrisome cutaneous symptoms that resemble leukemia cutis. My oncologist conducted blood work, which showed a normal cell profile, but the crucial test results had not come in on the day of our appointment. Despite her view that I appeared to be doing fine, I knew that I wasn't and restarted my regimen of IP6. Over the next few weeks, I began to return to normal. At my next scheduled visit (last Monday), she discovered to her horror and to my great dismay, that she had neglected to check the definitive test for APL leukemia (what is known as a PCR test for the fusion transcript, PML-RARA) from my last visit, and it was positive! Then began the agonizing week-long wait for my current status to be revealed - I could logically believe that how I felt (great) and the fact that I had resumed Dr. Shamsuddin's IP6 regimen had done the trick, but I woke up many nights quite sure that what they told me and what I'd read was correct (once the PML-RARA test is positive, it relentlessly leads to a relapse unless new chemotherapy is begun; and even then, a 2nd remission usually doesn't hold). Well, this morning the results came back, and the test was negative! If this was a case report, it would be considered so remarkable that the New England Journal of Medicine would be a suitable venue for publication. To convert from a positive PML-RARA test to negative without chemo is unheard of. Perhaps now I can convince my oncologist that IP6 is something all her patients should be on.
