Q: Is it normal for the heater to buzz a bit?

Mine has never buzzed in the two years I I have been using it. You may have a loose contact somewhere.

Q: Does it need a voltage adaptor?

Yes it will require a 120 to 100 step down transformer capable of a 600 watt load if you live in the U.S. These typically go for between 65 and 100 USD. Other countries may have different voltage standards.

Q: Would a 500w adapter be enough? Or does it have to be the 1000w?

If it is a 500 W adapter, it will not reach the maximum temperature.

Q: What is the diameter of the screw holes? OR What size screws did you use?

If I remember right the hardware comes with the heater. I had a table I made and added a couple of extra supports on either side of the heater and then drilled holes through those so that the supplied screw could reach the heater and screw into the pre-tapped holes in the side of the heater. I hope that makes sense.
