Do not buy this HF Antenna
Well, when they say wide banded it is, but coil is so much that it can't really be tuned. You will need to be happy with a 3 to 1 SWR. At least for the portion of the 75 meter band I needed. I thought I'd give it a try since I could return it if it didn't work, but here's the rub return shipping to China was quoted to me as $300 for a $80 antenna, so that's makes no sense. So just be sure you can use it before you order it. Don't be like me and wind up with a decoration piece. You know they have to have a dealer here in the good old USA, that would take returns, so either this is a scam or they don't really want our business, just our money.

Have measuring tape ...
Tge antenna works as a vertical, but you really need to measure the sliding adjusting top section. Once you have it exactly where it needs to be, you on the band. Keep it high. Use several (9+) counterpoise, and have good coax. You're done. 72/73 K1LGQ NH

Do not buy this
I should have read the reviews before I ordered, first time I tried to use it on a POTA could not get the antenna to tune, used two different antenna analyzers and a x6100 everything showed the same no matter how long myself and a friend messed with it couldn’t even get it close to useable. I would send it back but I made the mistake of throwing out the packaging, I will not make the mistake of ordering anything from this manufacturer again.

Ignore the bad reviews, great little portable or mobile antenna
The poor reviews of this antenna are just a symptom of the dumbing down of amateur radio. If you're a ham radio operator who earned his ham radio license rather than someone who just memorized a bunch of answers to tests then you won't have any problem using this antenna.Basically this antenna is a clone of the outbacker series of antennas from Perth. If you need instructions just Google Perth Plus or outbacker antenna and download the instructions. This antenna is what it is, it's a very durable multi-mode antenna for portable or Mobile use. I've used one Simulator for close to 40 years.I have one of the original outbackers that sailed with me to Hawaii and back. The original antenna that this is copied from is highly regarded by Sailors and off-road enthusiasts for its durability...I have one of these mounted on my motorhome , we are currently boondocking in a state park in California and I just used this antenna to make contact with vp6 whiskey Romeo out of Pitcairn Island on 10,12,15,17,20 and 40 meters so far.Basically this is a loaded quarter wave vertical, It's actually only half the antenna, of course if you earned your ham radio license you would already know this. You need to provide the other half as either the chassis on your vehicle or by using ground radials on the ground or even a screen to capacitively couple with the ground. Had a very minimum 3 20-ft radials will work. With that said I have used this antenna on a tripod with no radials, without radials the antenna will tune High meaning you'll have to use your radios internal antenna tuner to bring it down on the CW or digital portions of the band, with a good set of radials underneath it it'll tune much tune the entire band on frequencies above 20 mBelow 20 M the 3:1.1 bandwidth is a bit narrow but an antenna tuner will tune it up. For example if you tune the center of the 40 m voice band and antenna tuner will tune the entire voice band. If you want to tune the CW band you'll have to retune the antenna for the center of the CW band and then use the antenna tuner to fine tune it.With that said I'm absolutely stunned at the poor reviews isn't going to get and that's more of a reflection of the dumbing down of the hobby rather than the performance of this antenna. For $80 it's a pretty good deal because the original antenna from Perth is $370, it's not really a fair comparison because the original antenna from Perth is much better built, I wouldn't think twice about bolting one to the back of my 40 ft sailboat and sailing to Hawaii with it. I'm not quite sure I'd say the same thing about the Clone.

This antenna does not antenna
One of the holes you are supposed to put a jumper in had an obstruction inside, so I couldn't get it to work on 20m at all. There's zero documentation, so I didn't know whether I needed a counterpoise. I tried all kinds of tricks to get this thing resonant, but no love. Sent it back for a refund.
