This is my worst purchase in 10 years. The product itself seems solid, but the software keeps indicating that the batteries are not changed, after 3 solid days of charging. The company can't fix the app, and has an overseas team that is not reachable. Even after all these items they charged me for the app, knowing about all the trouble - not an honest act. I asked for a refund of my app fee, and they made me prove that I am sending the locks back - OUTRAGEOUS!!!UPDATE 02/133/2023 - After all that they charged me for a product I don't have, and an application that I do not use. They leave me no choice but to file fraud charges with my bank. Doing so now.

This outdoor fourth generation lock has been flawless so far. This is a well built long shackle lock, feels and just looks heavy duty. I have had many egee locks- the LOTO Style as I am a master Electrician and own Weems Electric, LLC. I have bought many LOTO Styles, but recently I had one that just stopped working and no matter what I did I could not get this fairly new lock to work any longer and previously a year and a half or so another lotto style locked abruptly stopped working after only owning three months; only using it indoors with the bottom gasket intact never subjected it to the weather or anything like this, but stuff happens.. This is the first time for this fourth generation outdoor lock- so far so good. I look forward to see positive long term results. I have no doubts about this lock, definitely a winner. If you need a reliable heavy duty lock this is a gr8 choice and I highly recommend.

Like: Very easy to operate, works well outside.Dislike: Sometimes the app is slow to locate the lock.Overall I am pleased with the equipment. I feel it keeps my bike shed reasonable secure, and allows me to leave home without taking keys along.

These locks are a great idea...but the reality is a NIGHTMARE! Do yourself a favor - RUN AWAY FROM EVEN CONSIDERING THIS PURCHASE!I just spent a week trying to get the four locks that I bought to actually function as they should. They're being used to secure soccer goals and storage areas for a soccer club, so they should be perfect - coaches can be given access which can end when seasons end, etc. In summary:* Quick start guide: Unintelligible - trying to figure out the wording is basically worthy of a Saturday Night Live segment, not a product setup.* Battery life: The "app" said 91% - the product wouldn't unlock, with the message displayed as "battery low."* App: One of the worst user experiences ever designed. Oh...and did I mention that if you want to have more than 5 users, it'll cost you $150 per year?? Premium cost - worst ever execution.* "Customer Support:" Fill out the online form, and they'll get back to you...IN 3 BUSINESS DAYS, AT THE EARLIEST!! Really? This is a product where flawless operability is CRITICAL - and when the product fails, you're going to take three days to get back to me?*"Waterproof:" There's a piece of rubber at the bottom covering the micro USB port. When the battery died (2 days after it was charged, and after 10 lock/unlock cycles), I tried to open the rubber...and it ripped off. So much for waterproof!!!Like I said, this is a FANTASTIC idea and I was super-excited to get these and put them to use. I am beyond disappointed that the product itself (the lock as well as the ridiculously expensive app) is so poorly designed and manufactured.So...time to complete the return form, and try to figure out another solution.
