Some times works sometimes does not
I've been doing photos for a while and have used a few other brands of flash remote and transmitters. But this one is so moody. Sometimes works sometimes just does not work.

Good -- If You Use the Right Batteries
The good news is that this does work with my Sony A7Rii and my strobes. However the documentation with these units is a little lacking. Yes, it shows how to use them. But it doesn't have any trouble-shooting information or advice about the batteries. After some at-home troubleshooting I've discovered that this works best with 1.5V AAA Alkaline batteries. It will work initially with fully charged 1.2 V NiMH/NiCD rechargeable AAA batteries. But it those fully charged batteries have sat for any period of time (even a couple of days) then it may simply not fire at all. I suspect a 1.5v rechargeable Lithium Ion battery would be fine, but you can get about 200 alkaline for the price of a few batteries and the charger, so I haven't bought one to test my theory.

Only works within 10 feet
The jf-u2 claims to have a range up to 100 feet. I have only gotten it to work intermittently at about 10 feet with my a7iii.Also within the 10 feet it only works when the trigger is pointed at the receiver which is pretty useless

Much better that the neweer. Works well with Olympus em10 III
I have the Neweer model with one receiver and it costs about the same but this thing has mich better build quality and the design is more sleek. The only reason I did not buy it first time was because I was not sure it will work with my Olympus camera which it does.
