A small plastic tube of oil comes with the clippers, but when it comes time to buy replacement oil, I look for "machine oil", which is not as thick and heavy as the other more industrial-use or automotive oils. If you do a Google search for machine oil, it will bring up things like "sewing machine oil", "clippers oil", that sort of thing. And the ever popular "3-in-One" multi-purpose oil is also good.

I have 6 cats and one of my cats has extremely long hair. He hates to to be brushed and because of that he ended up having a LOT of Matted hair on his stomach and rear end.
