They actually stay on during showers and hand washing, living up to their waterproof claim. They are okay if it is the size you need, but be sure you understand the size labeling on the box. I did not and when I read the box I thought they were 7 inches by 4 inches. Instead they are actually 7 bandages, each being only 1.75 inches by 4 inches. So they were not large enough to cover the wound I had.
