Music sounds terrible over the Axiim & LG only supports 2.0 and 5.0
So I bought the Soundsend and the Axiim Link to see which worked best with my Klipsch Reference Wireless speakers. Movies and TV shows both sounded quite good over the Axiim Link but when I tried playing music it was unbearable. First I tried Airplay from my phone, then I installed Spotify and Pandora on my TV so see if it was any better, but it was not. In addition LG now only support 2.0 and 5.1 setups. The Soundsend costs twice as much as the Axiim Link however music sounds 10x better, has more flexibility (up to 7.1), and the app is better, much easier to tune your speakers. The only feature that Axiim Link has that Soundsend doesn't have is a Party Mode that pumps music (I assume 2 channels) through all your speakers.

Terrific WISA interface, no drops, great synchronization
Forget soundbars, the quality of the Klipsch Reference Wireless system is. beyond comparison. Great range of sound from listening to ultra low bass like Holst's Saturn to terrific movie quality in Shang Chi. If you're looking for a step up, you can't go wrong with these components (other than the price).

LG and Axiim Not Working Together--5.1+ Support Gone!
Unfortunately the latest software update (O3.30.67) that LG did looks to have limited the Axiim controller to 2.1 sound. 5.1+ is no longer an option. Emails to Axiim and LG went unanswered. Had to buy the Soundsend transmitter instead. The Soundsend version has a better software interface but it takes up an HDMI port whereas the Axiim uses USB, which is what prefer. I sincerely hope that LG and Axiim will work thing out. So disappointed! Until they do, stay clear of the Axiim WISA transmitter and buy the Soundsend version instead. Maybe Soundsend will come out with a USB version of their transmitter, which would truly be the best of both worlds: better software and freed up HDMI port!
