I have two circuline fluorescent light fixtures in my kitchen. (You know, those circular fluorescent bulbs.) The one fixture has been flickering for a long time and never would light up completely, so I stopped using it. The other would light after flicking the switch off and on several times. I swapped the bulbs and saw no difference, so I knew that the ballasts needed to be replaced. It is a hard to find ballast and wasn't very cheap. Ballasts are not that simple to replace either.This double light fixture has a low-profile, so I thought I would give a try. I removed the circuline bulbs, removed the fixture from the ceiling, disconnected the wires, removed the ballast from the fixture, removed the clips that hold the bulbs, and drilled a hole in the center of the base. I bought some locknuts and used them to mount this new light fixture into the base because it didn't have the usual ceiling junction box. Reattached the wires to the new fixture and secured it to the ceiling. It works like a charm! Now it's easy to just replace the bulbs if needed.One down, one more to go. No more ballasts. Yay!

Parts are as described and measured. As sturdy as I expected and correctly threaded for standard lighting/lamp parts. Used two to rewire some vintage wall sconces.

Awesome product for good price. Exactly as I expected. I needed these for a diy skateboard lamp project and they were perfect for what I needed them for. There is three in the pack which is nice because I only needed two & one I received was chipped but still usable. Still not bad for the price, no complaints.

Please can anyone help me, This double bulb socket is perfect for my project, this socket is rated at 75 watts, does that mean that the 2 bulbs can not total more that 75 watts. What is the recommended wattage for the bulbs.. Thanks in advance for the info.

This item worked just fine and solved the lighting problem in my wife's ciro cabinet. The only thing I can question is the fact that they came without the Nuts for holding them in place. I had to drive to the hardware store to buy a pkg. But I got to say when I did a Closer look at the picture I ordered, they were not shown.

I had a bathroom vanity light that needed work, so I replaced the three double sockets with these. They fit perfectly and are good quality. Note that they do not come with nuts; you'll need to supply your own.
