I just unearthed my European hairdryer! It's like finding a hidden treasure from my travels!
During my recent trip to Italy, I sought a hairdryer that was comparable to my Shark model but compatible with European voltage and plugs. As someone who travels frequently, I had been contemplating the purchase of a European-compatible hairdryer for quite some time, recognizing it as a practical investment.I have curly hair that does not air-dry well; left to its own devices, it tends to frizz, especially in colder months like February. My sister-in-law recommended a particular hairdryer that, while featuring slightly stiffer bristles, proved to be very effective for my needs.I was pleasantly surprised by its performance and am very satisfied with my choice. I have since recommended this hairdryer to friends who travel, suggesting they either consider purchasing their own or borrowing mine. Additionally, it comes with a plug that supports compatibility across at least five different countries, enhancing its value for international travelers.

Works in Europe
I bought this with trepidation based on reviews for a two week trip to Portugal. It worked perfectly- no complaints . Only had one older property where the included adapter didn’t fit, but it worked fine with the adapter I brought along so no worries.Regarding the noise, I really can’t relate to some of the complaints as even the highest setting is quieter than my go-to Revlon brush which can give a jumbo jet a run for its money. Also, the bristles are waaaaay less “grabby” than my Revlon making this my new go-to device. My use is still relatively new, so as to durability I won’t comment, but I can say this does work as a dual-voltage, good for Europe, travel device.

Reliable dryer brush
Lived in Europe for 5 months and this worked perfectly across all the countries I visited. Does not live up to the drybar brush but it gets the job done.

It worked in England
This blow dryer worked perfectly in England. The adapter that comes with it is literal garbage, but I used a good one that I have and my hair looked great! All levels of heat worked perfectly too. One downfall of this product: it is excessively loud. The loudest blow dryer I’ve ever owned and it left my ears ringing after every use. My husband and mom said it was uncomfortably loud for them as well, and were glad when I was done with every use. If you don’t have sensitive hearing, then this product is for you and won’t let you down. I ended up buying another dual voltage dryer that is quieter for my own comfort.

It does a good job, but is too loud for me
I bought this brush dryer ten months ago from Amazon, specifically for travel to Europe, as it was the highest rated dual voltage brush dryer on the web. It does a good job of brush drying my fine hair into a sleek bob with the ends curled under. I start using it, as recommended, when my hair is about 80% dry, and it takes about 35 minutes for my shoulder-length hair. The result is sleek and relatively frizz-free.But I hate using it for two reasons: 1) it’s very loud. The Hot+ and the Cold settings reach 86 to 89dB. The Hot setting comes in at about 83dB. After 35 minutes at those noise levels I feel pretty cranky! 2) The top of the barrel is supposed to be long enough so that you can hold it without burning your fingers. But my fingers constantly slip off (and no, I don’t have big fingers at all), so that I scald my fingers on the barrel.I have no experience of other brush dryers, so don’t know how common my two complaints are. I wish that the decibel ratings were part of the product descriptions so that I could make better choices. I’m now on the hunt for a new, quieter, brush dryer, and yes, dual voltage is still a necessity.

A good curling brush for travel
Ok I bought this for international travel to combine a hair dryer and straightener that had dual voltage. It’s been a couple years since I used a curling brush and so it first I was a little bit awkward when using it. I was trying to section out and do tiny sections like I do when I straighten my hair and it was taking forever and I was getting frustrated. And then I realized that I don’t have to section my hair out like that. I can use medium size sections and dry them going from bottom to top. And it dries pretty quickly and my hair is quite straight and smooth afterwards. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is quite large. It’s a little bit larger than the size of my forearm. But if I were to put a travel hairdryer, and a straightener in my bag. It would take up as much or less space than that. And it’s dual voltage. So overall, I think it’s a pretty good purchase.

Great for Europe trip
Needed a dryer like this for trip to Europe and it’s perfect. Lightweight, works fast and easy to use. Of not, it didn’t work with my original voltage converter but it comes with one of its own and has worked perfectly with that one so make sure to bring it along even if you have one of your own.

OK but will burn hair
Works great but it will burn your hair on high. Need a good oil conditioner like CHI on hair to keep it from the burn and frizzies. Works on Europe current. Has an adapter that failed after one use, so bring your own to Europe. If dry hair on low setting, it will take longer but then no burn and can finish off with cool air..
