I did my own hair at my wedding and wanted to slick it back into one and then have a low poof. I used it on wet, detangled hair (4c, long, and thick). I sectioned my hair and smoothed it back in the individual sections starting with the nape and moving up to the center. I used the "ice curls" through the hair and brushed it and held with a hair tie. Then once i got to the edge sections i used a little of the "slicked" and brushed the hair into position and tied it all together with a hair tie. I then put some of the "frizz patrol" foam in my hands, slicked it down and put on a durag while I got ready and got my makeup done (~ 2 hours). The reveal was perfect. My hair did not feel crunchy or hard, looked shiny but not artificial and most importantly held in place all day and night. I was really happy with the product for styling. (I use the "don't shrink" flaxseed gel for my more normal, 5-minute, no effort wash-and-go days.)

All of these products together and on their own are great. When I want my curls to last longer I use them togetherand it usually last about 8 days. It doesn't leave my hair stiff, crunchy, or with with residue. It absorbed quickly and leaves my hair with a nice shine. The only reason I have it four stars is because the styling glue is super strong. If you use the glue for your edges let it air dry, if not you tie them down or you will feel like you're ripping them out when you remove whatever you used to tie them down. So all in all these are great products that I have been using for almost two years and I've seen a major difference in my curl definition.
