It is OK but has some flaw.
I will go straight to the point.Monopoly rules are modified a little. Of course you can make your own rules which is much more fun. Transactions ranges from tens of thousands to millions. On to the review. The banking unit and the banking system.- It is highly recommended to have a dedicated banker who does not directly participate in the game. The bank cards doesn't really add much fun because every turn it is the banker who handles the cards. So before you even begin a game, you might as well let the banker hold on to everybody cards.- Many times it is very confusing to keep track of which bank card belongs to who. The banker needs a system that works for him/her.- After playing for an hour or so, the bank unit becomes very annoying with the sounds. There is no way to shut off the sounds and beeps. I disconnected the speaker inside mine.- Players have to ask the banker how much money they have remaining. There is no other way of knowing.- The bank unit is very easy to use without having to read how to use it.- You will get 6 random tokens that represent something from different countries.- You will get Different sets of houses/hotels that represent different parts of the world. Like Asian hotels and Western hotels.Besides everything else, It is still a good game even with the bank unit. To achieve maximum fun, I suggest you use paper money along with this bank unit and together the game reinvents itself again to a more modern way of doing transaction. You can deposit and withdraw money from the bank like in real life. You can also use an excel spreadsheet to replace the bank unit if you like.5 out of 5.

Hairopoly is more like it
It’s obvious that this was not a new game board. That much is clearly obvious. Didn’t really have an issue with that, (but to be fair it wasn’t advertised as used so I assumed it’d be new. Shame on me). But there were so many 1 1/2 inch brown and white hairs inside I almost threw the whole thing in the trash. Unacceptable.

Cash Is Better
When deciding to purchase this, I though the electronic banking concept would be faster, more accurate, and less cumbersome than using Monopoly money. In my experience it has none of these advantages. For some reason, they designed the banking unit to pause a couple seconds before and after every transaction - it must do the actual transaction instantly, but stops to make a cash-register-like sound. All player-to-player deals must go through the unit. You need the unit to check your exact balance. It really becomes a bottleneck to the pace and hampers deal-making. Assigning a non-playing banker may help.Accuracy of the unit is not in question, but making sure the cards go in the desired way (debit vs. credit) requires the banker to pay close attention to whose card is whose, and the nature of the transaction. Relatively small color codes on the cards makes this job more difficult. Finally, keying in the data must also be correct - numbers and denomination - and only the banker sees the result. Not transparent like handing over cash between players or banker. I'm sure the unit itself is accurate, it's the error-prone nature of the transaction process that leads to mistakes. The banking unit could have been designed better in this regard. In my opinion, forcing all of the game's action through one person (the banking unit operator) is just not as fun as dealing with cash. The game itself is fine, with its interesting selection of properties and inflated currency.

Back to the simple things in life!
We first played the Here and Now version while visiting family in Virginia during the February snow storm (we live in Louisiana- imagine that!). This version is so much fun!! We purchased it for our family days after arriving back home from Virginia. The electronic credi/debit card makes the money exchange so much easier and faster than the original version with the paper money. Also the high dollar amount on the debit/credit card and the high dollar property value makes this version interesting. We have actually researched d information on various countries on the monopoly board, so it is educational in that aspect as well. We look forward to playing and have set aside Family Game Night..even our 17 year old likes to play with us. He has also played it with his friends when they visit. Our son will soon be leaving for college and my husband and I often look at each other and smile as we acknowledged how special our family moments are together...thanks Monopoly! Our 17 year old son and 9 year old daughter continue to find wonderful ways to stay connected and this game has only enhanced that connection. We have also played with friends when they visit and several have purchased this product for their families as well!Enjoy!! You won't be disappointed.

Fun educational twist on an old favorite
I really like the updated equipment in this game, bringing Monopoly into the modern world. The banking machine made keeping track of money so much easier, with no disagreements about who has/had how much cash, and really empowering the banker. The kids seem very interested in the cities and where they are -- my quibble is that the cities are not organized logically by country or even by continent, so what is the point of that? Hard to understand why they would go through the trouble of a total redesign and not be more careful about that kind of organization. Other than that, I like the updated rules, especially the mortgage "auctions," and am a total fan of the banking machine.
