I have used these motors for years, they are a good alternative to the more expensive options. They have good power and are easy to set.

I have these over 2 years now, and they work perfectly.

Need a powerful motor to DIY an automatic solar blanket roller. This one is perfect. The motor can roll up a 20x40 feet solar blanket without any problem.I also added a remote control module to it. Now it's a remote-controlled automatic solar blanket roller. So convienient.My only concern is not sure if this motor is water proof and how long it can last. But the product looks very sturdy. We'll see.

Have been using two of these on our 24x56 high tunnel (side curtains) for about a year now. Have them controlled by a thermostat. Very strong motors, easily roll up the 4 foot sides.

It's very strong and fairly weighty. I originally wanted a little electric motor to make some little side gadgets and prototypes but it is also good for a greenhouse structure motorized bay lift. It is good enough for outdoor placement the waterproof cover is sealed well and is very strong and will allow you to set how many rotations it will do one way and then back the other way up to 40 rotations. That's the caveat so it does have a limit which it says is ten minutes. I can't imagine waiting ten minutes for the thing to fully open but I guess that's only if you have it maxxed out which according to the manufacturer is fourteen feet high. But it has the ability to wind up 350 feet of wire and after that I guess it is too much for the motor.It is really cool that it comes with a slide bracket so all you need is the pole in place to mount it to which it will slide up and down when opening and closing the film. It says it will last over 4 years before you might have to open it up for maintenance. Not too bad, so my total rating is five out of five and it will impress everyone who sees you built your own motorized greenhouse.

This is an excellent little motor that looks and feels like a much pricier motor. It's nice and heavy, not some lightweight disposable motor that will burn up really quick. And it's really well sealed up which is important in exterior applications like this where they get exposed to lots of water and dust. At the price point it's offered it's just an incredible value and I can highly recommend it.

But that’s not how I use it. I have a 48” tube with 2 wire rope drops at each end that connect to my 52” vinyl cutter. Rolling the tube forward or backward raises or lowers the cutter from the ceiling to working height. This device would take up 5-10 square feet of floor space if it were stand mounted, but with this hoist it takes up exactly 0 square feet. You obviously couldn’t do the same thing with a cast iron table saw, but many shop tools are light enough to benefit from a lift mechanism like this.

We're using this to roll the open side on a shed that we built to cover our small sawmill. We need full access to get logs in, so doors wouldn't work well. It's plenty strong to roll up the tarp and is a very convenient way to open the side up for use. It took a little fiddling to get just right for our needs, but was pretty straightforward to set up. The climbing device is well thought out and rolls right up and down the pipe as it rolls up, it's pretty neat. We like it and it makes opening up the shed really simple.
