This has a lot of legacy and great reviews on fragrantica and the like, so i bought this without any test elsewhere.Be careful with Amazon listings of Dana: there is a confusing mix of 50 ml vs 100 ml, and EDT vs cologne at really similar price points. I bought the 100 ml cologne at ~Rs.1800.This is pricier than the normal international rate because of the import-overhead (though better priced than some of the other importers). But still much lower than booyah Chicago etc.(Speaking from my own experience: What i didn't read carefully when ordering was that this is not an EDT, it is a cologne. So it would be weaker, and obviously come without a spray.)Despite all this, it's terrific.The fragrance:After the initial drydown (which is very synthetic like cheap fabric softener), when all of the fruity/floral topnotes get out of the way, the musk comes through, warm and heady. Works equally well on skin and clothes, easily lasts for 8 hours, and has higher-than-average sillage.I never found the claimed tobacco notes that are described elsewhere. I wonder if that is what got lost in the transfer of manufacture from Houbigant to Dana.Usage:This is not a nightclub/date-night thing, it's a very manly, daily use, signature. If you don't expect the finesse of a similarly mid-priced Kenneth Cole or Davidoff variant, this is brilliant workman-wear. In fact, it would replace typical 'uncle' favourites like Old Spice, Tabac or Jovan Musk.I will buy this again.
