Better wear than sticky race tires costing more. Good traction on all surfaces

These tires are more than adequate for riding dirt, sand, palm roots, pine roots, rocks, and some technical sections. They are made for off road/mountain biking so I would buy smoother tread if you are riding on pavement or gravel, but these will of course work fine there as well, just not as smooth rolling. This was a used bike I needed the tires for and the price was outstanding and they are fantastic on the trail and very easy to mount. I would recommend and will buy again when needed.

Don't really need them to be foldable since my installation is actually permanent, but they have a nice beefy tread and they were available for a good price with one-day shipping. Installation was a little harder because foldable tires don't naturally take the shape of the wheel but once you get everything lined up correctly in the grooves they sit nicely on the wheels and when I took my first ride with them, they gripped the terrain very well going up the steep grade.

WE have REI DRT 1.1 mountain bikes and these tires replaced the originals. They are definitely tougher and have more traction on our moderate trails. They were easy to replace and look great too!
