This does connect to our wooden tracks we already have , and it's perfect for a toddler who loves trains .

Bought this for our almost 3 year old for Christmas. After several months it is still working fine; no parts have broken. The train cars do not roll as smoothly as the Thomas cars he got later for his birthday, but for the price, this is an excellent deal. The people that came with it are way out of proportion to the train and he hasn’t played with them or the little houses and trees much so far.

I bought this as a late birthday present for my 2 1/2 year old. He loves it! He initially got a bit frustrated that he couldn’t put the tracks together by himself but after going through it a few times he can build a decent little track on his own (in case you’re skeptical about buying for those under 3).Definitely a great set. It comes with props, four trains, a car, and a cute little bridge. There’s also a guide included for setting up the train tracks (though you can definitely just freestyle it). Very happy that my kiddos happy.

A great train set for the money! Arrived a day before expected!! Our 18 month old grandson played with it for over an hour STRAIGHT!! (he has a Brio set at his house, so we got this one for our house!) He was so excited! Wood pieces were smooth; no splinters. Colorful and cute "town" parts: policeman, lady, trees, etc. Downside for me was that the bridge would not stay standing on our plush carpet. The bridge needs to have a broader base so that it won't wobble and fall down. Overall, we were pleased with the quality and would order again for the price. We have ordered a tunnel from another vendor and will probably replace the bridge eventually.
