Excellent quality and overall value. Description or feedback did not indicate that this is MADE IN USA! I'm very pleased with the quality of the wood, solid enough you could use it for self defense! I'm a tall guy and this is the perfect size!

This is a sturdy, well-made mop. I've used a Rubbermaid metal-head mop before and liked the mechanics of the screw-down and clamps better, so I knocked a star off this one. That being said, this is still a worthwhile purchase, comparable in quality and function to the 'name brand' version, and I don't regret getting this one (which was slightly cheaper than the Rubbermaid version when I bought it, and most importantly--in stock!)I was not crazy about how it was packaged (merely wrapped in a million layers of plastic wrap with a shipping label stuck to it). The plastic was cut through in several places and the shipping label nearly gone--shipping equipment is meant to handle boxes and envelopes, not mop handles wrapped up mummy-style. It looked like it had gotten stuck several times, but still made it to me in one piece.

It's so easy to put mop head on and to remove it for cleaning! The head stays in place until it's removed.

I wasn't sure what I'd get, as the price was so reasonable. But, I took a chance buying it, I wanted something to mop out the garage, occasionally.I was pleasantly surprised. The handle was a nice husky diameter, the mop hardware was straight forward and it was easy to put the mop head into it (even mechanically challenged folk shouldn't have trouble with this).The only 'Gripe' I had with it, was that they didn't sand down the top (end) of the mop's wooden handle very well. It was rounded, but rough as an old dry corn cob. I like them smooth, as that's where my palm grips the handle. But, a few minutes with some 100 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and it was all taken care of. I'd recommend this mop.

Cheap and cheesy. Item shipped to me wasn't the brand name I ordered. Doesn't fit the mop head I'd ordered from Amazon previously, the mop head is bunched up on the handle. However, I can mop with this handle. The metal on the handle is galvanized steel, but, it is thin and probably won't last very long. It is not like the previous handle I had which lasted well over 7 years before it rusted away. That handle was a brand name also, but, not Unisan. Of course, this one doesn't say "Unisan" on it either. Plus, if I'd known it was going to ship from Sam's Club, I could've gone and bought one directly! Also, the review that speaks to the top of the handle as being rough and splintery is correct. Mine is also that way. Easily sanded smooth, but, why ship a customer something that is going to hurt him/her? Next time I'll buy one locally. It's just that being retired, it costs less to order from Amazon with Prime shipping, than driving to the store, gasoline wise. And, I've had good luck, quality items from Amazon. Poor luck with this item. Workable, but, not even worth a single star! OH, the item was shrink wrapped in plastic, that I couldn't take off with my hands. Took me several attempts cutting it with a knife, and peeling it off, pieces at a time! Took longer to unwrap the plastic it was shipped in, than it took to install the mop head!
