Works well for femoral-patellar syndrome and helping misaligned kneecaps track but could be constructed for greater durability
The knee support provides a lot of stability. I have moderate-severe femoral-patellar syndrome and the donut helps keep the patellar tracking and the tight elastic keeps the swelling down when I hike. The product, however, isn't very durable. Because it's designed to fit tightly (you order the correct size based on leg diameter and specified points above and below your knee) it takes some effort to pull it up and into place. After less than 2 months mine has a hole in the side where the stitches in one seam have broken. I'm not sure how long this will last which is unfortunate as it's quite expensive.

Comfortable with stability
Used for stabilization of the patella. Item was worth the extra money. As stated in other reviews I would recommend getting a size smaller than measured as it will stretch out a bit.
