Great tool for M&P takedown.
I needed some tools to detail strip my M&P 9mm, but I didn't know the exact size of roll-pin and drive-pin punches that I would need. I also wasn't sure whether I wanted brass or steel punches; some people recommend steel, others recommend brass because it doesn't leave scratch marks.Instead of buying individual punches and guessing at their sizes, or buying complete sets of pin punches and roll-pin punches (containing sizes that I may never use), and deciding between brass, steel, or getting both.... I found this tool on Amazon, thought I'd give it a try, and I'm glad I did. This is neat kit and it has everything I need for a take-down. For me, the best part about it is: it includes, both, steel and brass punches (steel drive-pin (flat-head) and roll-pin punches AND brass drive-pin and roll-pin punches), so I have a choice of metal to use. This kit contains 12 tools: various sizes of pin punches and roll-pin punches, slave pin(s) and an Allen wrench (Hex key). Note... the Allen wrench was a little too small for the set screw in my rear sight; it didn't fit very snugly, so I used a 1/16" that I already had. There's another listing of this tool on Amazon that got mixed reviews. Not sure if they're the same item, but THIS one worked for me.

Perfect range tool
Ok if your one of those guys who ends up fixing everyone's stuff when you go to the range this is made for you. Great for tossing in your pocket and forgetting it until you need it or tossing in your bag this will also work for many other firearms not just smith.

Useful take along tool
Very useful hobbiest gunsmithing small pin punch set to take along to the range or do occasional quick simple work at home. The steel quality is for light duty work only and is mild hardness. However a lot can be said for handiness of the design and this kit excels at that. For the price, it provides good value.

Not a replacement for a quality set of smithing punches, but works well.
Perfect for the range bag, or out in the field for a repair, creeping pin or adjustment. Packs small, lightweight, there when I need it.

Okay
Just received this "kit", but haven't yet had the opportunity to try it out.As an armorer I already have a fair number of different tools needed for different guns and tasks, but ordered this "kit" out of curiosity. This collection of small pin punch tips (roll & cup) and drifts are probably going to be handy for those times when I don't feel like taking my regular armorer kit & tools to range sessions. Time will tell how strong and durable they may be, but I hope they'll prove sufficient for occasional light-duty and simple use. They won't be my first choice for everyday bench work. The inclusion of the pair of assembly (slave) pins is handy enough, especially for installing the headed trigger pin in the M&P pistols. The lack of full length handles for the pin punches and drifts, though, and only having the 1 "handle", may negate some of the usefulness of the kit, insofar as not being able to hold a full length pin punch in each hand for some occasional small manipulative task. Not sure how well the magnetic handle will hold the tips, either. Nifty idea, though. The rubber (soft vinyl ?) insert is of questionable worth, and is not easy to remove and replace in the handle. I'll probably leave it in the handle and carry some of the tool tips loose in the back, and some in the front half. The handle fits in the cloth holster, but the pocket clip is ... annoying. The pocket clip isn't particular easy to reinstall and hold still while screwing on the rear cap, and the size of this "tool kit" is more something that you might carry clipped to the mouth of a pants cargo pocket. Too large for a shirt pocket.I had to remove some strings of whatever material they used to paint/coat the handle. as some excess bits of it were sticking out among the tool tips from the inside threads of the handle. Not a problem, as the threads are fine, but it took a couple extra minutes to clean them out.Obviously a small hammer/mallet is still going to be needed to remove steel coil pins, and after enough years of having installed and adjusted sights, I'd much rather rely upon a sight pusher than drift punches (especially when night sights are involved).I'd think this would make an occasional light-duty field tool, but certainly not a practical replacement for serious, everyday bench tools.Probably be best handed out as raffle or door prizes for armorers as a gadget for them to collect. We get enough hats, decals, pins, pens and other things.

I have found this tool very useful when working with small roll pins on various firearms
I have found this tool very useful when working with small roll pins on various firearms. I thought the tool would break easily but it has held up remarkably well! It has several different sizes of punches and they are neatly stored within two sections of the tool.

All in one roll pin tool for most firearms, great tool.
Great little all in one tool, its got assorted punches, roll pin punches and starter punches , I have a few sets of assorted punches for general use this thing is firearms specific, holds all of the needed tools for most firearms in one small lightweight, and silent package. Comes with a pretty nice MOLLE compatible sheath.

Defective out of the box - missing fitting that holds working bit
When I opened the box I found the tool was missing the fitting on its end that holds the selected bit during use. Since I really hate the hassle of returning stuff, I fixed the defect by filling the tool end with epoxy and drilling a hole of a proper size to snuggly fit the bits. This works well enough for the tool's intended use.
