Best bang for the buck! Tool, battery and charger for 99 bucks
I use my makita impact daily for work, it’s much faster then a ratchet and saves me time and my arms from working too hard. Performs very well. I only charge it maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks. It takes a beating and still works flawlessly, I feel it is the best bang for the buck. It has made me a lot of money for the $99 dollars I paid for it. I would recommend to anyone that isn’t a brand snob or needs a million tools that works with the same batteries. Strong enough for all my uses, lightline type work. Takes a real beating and keeps going for less then the price of a snap on ratchet. I have almost 2 years of duty on this one. I had purchased the same one before and knew it was perfect for me. That one was stolen but before that it had made me a lot of money also. These come with a larger batteries then some you buy in your local hardware store so can’t recommend it enough

Great tool and charger!
I wish I bought one of these earlier! I enjoy working on my car when I can and this has prevented curse words several times already. The tool itself is pretty small and can get in some tight places. Being battery operated, I was surprised at the amount of torque it has. Batteries hold charge for a good amount of time and the charger is amazing! I don't think I will need to get a second battery for this anytime soon because by the time it runs out of juice I could probably use a break. Just plug it in and about 30 mins later it is powered up and ready to keep going. I have seen other reviews that said they build fences and such with this and I don't doubt it at all. This is a great power tool for anyone to have around.

A solid impact drill
Love it. Needed a new cordless drill/driver to replace my 12 yr old Ryobi starter set (gift) that was no longer holding a charge. Was initally considering the Makita XDT14R that I was really impressed by during a hands on at the local Orange big box. But for periodic home DIY, I couldnt justify the $200 price tag. This drill, while slightly larger and with just a little less torque and rpm, delivers. And for nearly 1/2 the price. In testing it driving screws thru 2x4's, this performed as well as the higher priced drill. A solid impact drill/driver. A good move.Followup- Even more impressed. Used this drill for repair of a wooden retaining wall and fence. Effortlessly drove multiple lag bolts through PT lumber posts and boards - on a single charge with no signs of fading. VERY happy.

What a nicely designed tool!
Nice tool, but I haven't used it much yet. I particularly like that while it uses carbon brushes it's designed to have them easily replaceable. The instructions to do so are in the manual!Makita makes a nice tool. Heck, I have a 25 (?) year old 9.6 v Makita driver drill that owes me absolutely nothing and it's still working. It just won't die! I've used it to build a 36'x24' shop, and numerous outbuildings and it's my everyday hand drill in the shop. While the case doesn't have a space molded in for the 50 piece Makita bit set (yes, if you have the tool you want one of those), the set does lay on top of the tool and appears to be secure. Have it in the case along with the tool, grab the case and you have what you need for whatever you plan to do.

Excellent, but the rubber is all peeling off.
Soo far soo good. This thing is a life saver. I am an industrial mechanic and this gets used every day. Its not the strongest impact out there, but most of the time you dont need the strongest. This is an excellent impact for an even better price. it will do almost anything you need. it feels great in the hand, its light weight, and charges quickly. in my strong opinion, this is worth more than the asking price. Update: 05/23/17 I've been using this impact for about 6 months now,. I use it every day that I'm at work, be and it's awesome. It is my most used tool. It's not over torqued, and doesn't break screws like some do. Remember that more power is not always better. I still highly recommended this impact. UPDATE: One of the wires broke on the trigger, be do I took it to an authorized repair center, and they repaired it under warranty. They did a great job, and again I use it daily. I'm still very happy with it. UPDATE: 02/04/19 The rubber on the grip of peeling away badly. Also there is a large decorative piece at the shank the came off. It still functions great a bit looks rough.

Great value for it’s price
For majority of moderate to even some heavy diy projects this is great product. The battery charges so fast and lasts me long enough where I only charge it when I need to take a breather. I used to buy the cheaper equipment but this is quality and still reasonable priced. I think I am going to stick with Makita for more of my power tools.

Only one (1) battery.
I had to return mine, as my fiancé had already purchased a Craftsman that came with two (2) batteries and (2) drills. I like the Makita brand, but I got good reviews on the Craftsman, before I decided to return the Makita. The extra battery with the Craftsman was a definite plus. The batteries on any of these cordless tools are very pricey. I recommend shopping for a name brand that comes with two batteries.

Light and Powerful
My first Makita product. Been using it for a couple of months now and it's flawless. It's compact, light and very powerful for a small unit. The light feature is a great feature and shuts off shortly after use. I use it on my side by side and bikes and it makes working on them so much easier. Battery life is phenomenal. I also purchased a 3 pk of socket drive bit from 1/4 to 1/2 drive. I hand break bigger bolts loose then follow up with the Makita and also run bigger bolts in with it and follow with a ratchet or torque wrench. After using it for a while I wouldn't do without it.
