MOOERPure Boost, clean boost pedal

I love this pedal. The Mooer pure boost is so tiny but it produces a big sound. The pure boost has some of the best controls for a boost pedal that I have seen. It as one big gain knob and 3 tiny knobs for bass, volume and trebble. Want to have just a gain boost? Put every small knob on the 12 o'clock position and crank up the big gain knob to anywhere you want. Want a volume boost? Crank the volume knob anywhere passed 12 o'clock and you have your volume boost. You guys get the picture. Also if you just want to use this as an overdrive pedal this pedal does have a good enough tone to it to give you that slightly distorted clean sound.

I bought this to stack in front of my Green Mile, but once i got it on my board, it replaced my Green Mile. If you are a cleanish, creamy-crunchy fan, and have a decent tube amp, this may be just up your alley. With just enough preamp gain to almost break up, this little gem will push it where it needs to go for those solo ending tantrums. But it won't get you to Jimmi-SRV, ear-grinding level... which is just right for me. To each his or her own, i suppose. Glad i found this.

I was initially looking at the EP Booster as a way to kick the front end of my amp, but I discovered this little gem that had a little more to offer than the EP. Having 12dB of high and low boost or cut at my fingertips makes this pedal a great way to tweak your tone on the fly. I find myself reaching for the high knob if my tone sounds harsh, or slightly bumping the lows if I want a little more grunt a few times during each set. Overall, this pedal is a great performer, especially for the price. My only gripe is that the gain is not very musical, so I rarely put any gain boost into signal chain. I consider this a great volume boost with the added benefit of basic EQ adjustments. Not a bad addition to any pedalboard.

I use this pedal for playing leads. I love it. It not only raises the volume, but you can also add a little extra dirt to your sound. When I step on this pedal I know my sound will cut through and even makes my sound a little thicker. I really am impressed with this pedal and would recommend it. You can't beat it for the price.

Great clean boost! I put it after my OD pedals, and it sings!! Great price, and great quality!!

A clean boost is incredibly important for all genres of music, especially if you have passive pickups - and this one sounds great. I use with with the volume and gain maxed into an Orange amp and it has a wonderfully fat, warm, distorted sound.

A clean boost is not an EQ, not an OD, not a distortion... its whats you use when you actually already like your amp and simply want (say) a lead tone (insert before pedals) or a volume boost (after pedals)This is a nice clean boost, with the ability to be clean or have a little dirt by upping the gain, so why only 3 stars?..Well, its just "ok".. and it should only be considered if you MUST have a mini pedal.A. Its cheap,B. offers more flexibility than the TC mini spark.However, its only to be considered if you must have a mini pedal as the full size TC spark (which i also own) is leaps and bounds a great clean boost.. Better tone, more tonal complexity with dirt and fat, flat, or mid hump response plus bass, treble, gain & volume means it pretty much can offer any tailored pre-eq/boost/dirt that you need... The Spark is a great pre-OD pedal, or if you have gain on tap, its all you need.Fad favors the xotic pedals, AC, RC, EP, but if you actually like your amp's tone.. the the TC Spark is the best bang/buck clean boost pedal by far.

Not overly thrilled with this boost pedal...As far as adding clean boost, this pedal accomplishes the task. However, I am getting a very noticeable POPPING sound when I switch the pedal on during a song!I am a worship leader for our church and lead worship every Sunday. This was my first attempt at using the pedal live and I was super disappointed in this issue. Nothing like letting everyone within 10 miles know that I’m about to play a lead in the middle of a song... :(Definitely do your homework and shop for a boost that isn’t going to have something silly like this going on. I wish I would have... now I am going to have to go and spend the extra money on top of wasting money on this.
