I poured in too much oil. The drain plug performed better than expected, no mess at all.I attached everything. They DID NOT include the instructions about the gasket seal for the steel tub, I am not sure your supposed to use it. I did.I fired it up and after a very quiet few minutes it reached 30 on the gauge. I closed the valve and put the pump away. Twenty four hours later it has dropped to 29 on the gauge. That is more than enough time for anything to cure.It works, as advertised, but for how long?Okay! SO I have had the chamber under vacuum for three days now. The gauge has dropped on one Hg in the first 24 hours and then stopped at 29Hg. I am calling top notch on the chamber. The pump is my concern. It took two thirds of a bottle to fill the pump. I pumped it down to 30Hg and the oil was at low level. That will be covered by the last 1/3 of the bottle. That's a lot of oil if I do 10 draws a week.Update: Day 14 - Chamber is at 28Hg. I am calling it good.

Try buying this kit piece by piece. I'll save you time, you can't. This kit is sturdy and does exactly what it is promoted to do. One tip, even though it comes with pump oil I suggest buying a vapor free pump oil instead. Once these things pull vacuum near -20 it's starts to release vapor from the pump. It's not smoke it's just vapor but you can avoid this with a different pump oil.

This vacuum pump worked great until it didn’t. We used it about 4 times and all of a sudden it stopped vacuuming. I contacted customer service and they asked me if I wanted to return it, get a replacement or get tech on the line to troubleshoot. Obviously I chose a replacement. Oh boy, we shall see how long this takes. I’m assuming the warranty department is in China because half the subject in the emails is Chinese. They ask you first to text them a 15 second video of the pump on and not working, which I sent. Then they tell you support will reach out with a status, hahaha they send you an email a few hours later (I got the email at midnight) asking you to reply to the email for a status update. So with the time difference it’s taking about a day between emails. This was Thursday last week, it’s Wednesday today and I just got another email saying “ Hello,Sorry for the wait.The supplier said: This sound is not right anymore, is it a new pump, is there any oil in it?Happy new year!sharoncustomer support”Obviously it’s a new pump and if they looked at the order date they would know it’s a new pump and they would see in the video and notes that yes there is oil. I’m not impressed at all with the customer service. I’ve submitted my proof and asked for a replacement but having to jump through hoops to get said replacement. I’ll update if and when I finally get the replacement.

Works perfectly and is very powerful and quiet. Pulled a deep test vacuum in the vacuum pot and it has remained at the same vacuum pressure for over a week now. Zero leaks.

The chamber is great,heavy duty, the pump is powerful but it arrived with a leak. I have to keep it in a pan. Because it just pours out oil. Disappointing. Too late to return.

This vacuum chamber works great for getting rid of bubbles. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I love that it comes with the vacuum pump and the price is very reasonable.

The media could not be loaded. The product came very well packaged. Everything in the box was properly bubble wrapped and all the parts looks like they're of good quality... Except for the cover seals. They're made of silicone and are quite small compared to the washers that came with it. The first thing I did was test the system with the provided seals. The vacuum chamber lost the air immediately.I removed the silicone / rubber seals provided and applied some silicone to the top side and the bottom side of the cover and re-tested the system. Great results. The vacuum stayed and did not drop.The cover is about 7/8 of an inch thick with an orange rubber seal around it. There was also a rubber seal provided for the vacuum chamber. Together, these two work very well. The bond is very strong between them and even if the instructions said to apply come pressure to initially start the vacuum, there was no need to do so with these seals.The pump seems average with regards to the look and feel of the build but it works well and reaches maximum vacuum pressure within a few seconds. The box came with sufficient oil to fill the pump to the maximum oil level.If you're not a technical person and expect to put this together and have it work immediately, then this one is not for you. However with a little brain work, you will find that the solution to getting this device to work is quite easy.I left a picture of the product I used to seal the cover.
