This is one of the few prepared frostings I keep on hand, I do this despite the long list of chemicals, including artificial colors and flavor. Not only is it convenient, but I think it generally tastes better than the rest and is a very versatile product.It the expected frosting to use when making a German Chocolate cake, but it also works well as a filling. Using it in this capacity means less is needed per serving and a can goes much further than when slathered on as frosting. A small spoonful can be dropped into unbaked cupcake or muffin batter. It sinks during baking to create a surprise center.A couple of other ideas. With puff pastry sheets cut into squares, a spoonful may be added to the center of the square and optional extras like chopped nuts and/or a few pieces of chopped chocolate included. Then fold the dough over forming a triangle, press down the edges and bake. Another good use is to swirl some into brownie batter and bake. In a pinch it can be heated and used in place of syrup on pancakes and waffles.So, I keep it in the pantry for times when I need or want to create something special but time is limited.

Taste was a little rancid

Look, I’m not going to lie and say I put this on a cake. We are eating it straight out of the jar, it tastes like pecan pie and it’s amazing. If you are going to frost a cake with it buy 2 cuz you will eat half of it before it ever gets on the cake!

I like this frosting. It looks like the picture, there are lots of nuts and coconut. It is easy to spread and taste delicious. I will buy again.

Ok I admit this never makes it to my cakes--I use it on ice cream and when making ice cream pecan folded "ice cream sandwiches" - (decadent I know but a guy has to have Something Great once in a while that doesn;t have a good lady to cook for him). Definitely will buy again.

My favorite frosting for German Chocolate cake. Great taste and texture right out of the can. Purchased through Prime Pantry and got free shipping so it certainly wins on price as well..

I really love coconut and when I have the mood to take a bit of a cheat on my diet a little with pretzels is a really nice taste with salty/sweet. Lots of coconut and a ton of pecan pieces. Would be amazing on cupcakes.
